 Teacher makes the students guess certain job by giving clues related to
the said job. For example, the job the student has to guess is ‘doctor’
then the teacher gives clues in simple sentences such as ‘they work in
hospital’ or ‘they help sick people’
 After one of the students guesses the job, teacher asks two other
students to come forward. One student must spell the word ‘doctor’ and
the other has to write down the word on the whiteboard.
 Teacher repeats this activity for 3 times which means the students get to
guess 3 jobs
Presentation :  Teacher gives the students a piece of paper that has pictures of 9 jobs
and asks the students to read each word. Teacher corrects their
pronunciation.
 Teacher writes simple sentences related to the first job on the paper. For
example the first picture is ‘doctor’, then teacher writes ‘I am a doctor’
and ‘I work in a hospital’
 Teacher repeats the previous step until the fourth picture on the paper.
 Teacher explains the use of ‘to be’ and ‘verb 1’ in all of the sentences
on the whiteboard
Controlled :  Teacher asks the students to do the 5th – 9th pictures on the piece of
Practice paper that the students have.
 After they are done with the writing practice, teacher asks the students
to tell about their parents’ jobs. For example, ‘my mother is a teacher.
She works in a school.’
Concept : Teacher asks the students if they have their dream job listed on the piece of
Checking paper and mention it one by one.
