About us
Sri Sairam College of Engineering formerly Shirdi Sai Engineering
College Bengaluru, established in the year 1997 by MJF. Lion Leo Muthu,
Chairman of Sapthagiri Educational & Charitable Trust, is a non-profitable and
non-minority institution. Located within the Bangalore city limits, Sairam college of
Engineering is an inspirational place to study in which everything from classroom to
laboratories, hostel to cafeteria is state-of-the art. The labs and other facilities are
among the best in the region making it one of the most sought after institutions by
parents and students. The Ultra-modern computer labs with latest software and
hardware make it a learning heaven for IT enthusiasts. Teaching rooms and work
areas are well furnished and equipped with modern up-to-date facilities.

Sri Sairam College of Engineering has developed into a reputed Engineering

Institution with ISO 9001: 2008 Certification. Offering top quality technical
education and moulding the younger generation with the spirit of service to society,
our Chairman has spared no efforts to induct dedicated faculty and provide adequate
infrastructure facilities. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological
University and also approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),
New Delhi. The Institution has been ranked as top 10 in Bangalore, top 20 in
Karnataka and top 100 in India by various magazines like DataQuest, Out Look,
Education world etc., Sairam has introduced successfully TQM concepts like Circle
Meeting, Quality Circle, Suggestion Scheme, 5S and Kaizen in the campus. ASDF
(Association of Scientists and Faculties) has presented “Best Structured Institution”
award in the year 2015. Higher Education Review has presented Best Engineering
College of the Year award for “Student Engagement” in the year 2016.

learning, research, creativity, innovation and professional activity and inculcate in
them ethical and moral values
Technical Association - Livaz

The departments are having its own technical associations through which the
students are encouraged to develop their Co-curricular skills. The Association in the
Department is “Livaz” and regularly organizes Paper Presentation competitions,
Symposiums, Workshops, Guest Lectures, Conferences, Technical Quiz, etc. The
Faculty & Students of the Department automatically are the members of the
Association. As a Institution Policy the students of the I Year will become
automatically the Members of the ISTE (Indian Society of Technical Education),
similarly the Second Year students will become the members of the IEI (Institution of
Engineers).
