ENGINE ADDITIONAL WORKS
ECR AC units
a) Fwd unit pressure switch malfunctioning. HP cut out resets automatically. To renew pr. Switch.
E001 RS 24 b) To drill out broken end cover bolt of fwd unit condenser and re-tap condenser body. End cover to be
boxed back with new bolts.
c) To renew foundation plates and angle bars of both fwd and aft units.
Sewage Treatment Plants
a) To remove sewage wastes/residues from all compartments of all three STPs and issue gas free certificate
for carrying out maintenance/renewal work of intermittent valves.
E001 RS 25
b) Aft black water tank to clean.
c) Residues from black and gray water tanks to be removed.
d) To renew rubber hoses (3 Nos) on blower outlets of all 3 STPs. 50 mm dia, 100 mm long as per sample.
Emergency generator
E001 RS 26 Emergency generator cylinder head leaking sleeve to replace with suitable sleeve machined by yard.
Bunker valves
E001 RS 27 Port side bunker valves to overhaul. 150 NB dia butterfly valves. 6 Nos.
Sampling cocks to renew on both port and Stbd sides. – 2 Nos.
Lagging renewal:
Following laggings to renew/repair.
a) Lagging for AC chilled water line in E/R and AHUs.
E001 RS 28 b) Lagging for ECR emergency escape.
c) AE 1 turbocharger lagging.
d) Hot water line inside cargo hold.
e) Lagging for air outlet in AHU 3.
Following valves to overhaul/renew
E001 RS 29 a) M/E LT cooler drain/vent valves – 8 Nos 15 mm dia cocks to renew.
b) All three AEs vent valve on jacket return line to renew. DN 15 Non return valve. – 3 Nos
Pump overhaul
E001 RS 30 a) 2 Nos spare hydrophore pumps to overhaul. Multistage centrifugal pump. Spares yard supply.
b) 1 Nos STP discharge pump to overhaul. Make: ORPU, Model : ES 120. Spares yard supply.
Steering Gear system
E001 RS 31 Present steering gear system obsolete and spares not available as parent company (Autonav) has closed down. To
replace the whole system with class approved system.
E001 RS 32 AC cooling Sea Water pumps

 Make: Johnson pumps, TYPE: CB 200-200 B2, CAP: 270 M3
AC cooling sea water pumps (horizontal centrifugal pumps) breaks down very often and parts getting damaged.
Renewal of shaft/seal being done frequently.
a) To check alignement of pumps and make necessary modifications to the foundations.
OR
b) To replace the pumps with vertical centrifugal pumps of similar capacity.
AHU evaporator cleaning
E001 RS 33 All 3 AHUs evaporator coils to be cleaned using chemical, water and air. Coil fins which are bent to be made
straight.
Pipeline modification/renewal
a) To provide a valve on M/E (S) bilge suction line from reciprocating bilge pump. Existing pipeline to cut
before filter and place valve. Pipe OD - 90 mm.

b) To provide backwash arrangement for M/E LT coolers. – 2 Nos
c) Compressed air line aft of STBD container in upper deck holed. To renew. 20 mm dia deck penetration.

Provision refrigeration compressor (top)

E001 RS 35 To overhaul compressor and renew shaft seal. Make: BITZER. Model: K 203H/VY
Fabrication of spare sea chest strainer.
E001 RS 36 Fabricate and supply 1 No emergency sea chest suction strainer as per sample. Dia-280mm, Height 600 mm
Rack for securing spare M/E cyl heads in cargo hold
E001 RS 37 To provide a rack for securing M/E cylinder heads in cargo hold.
Hoisting arrangement for E/R emergency exit
E001 RS 38 To provide a hoisting arrangement with rope and pulley for E/R emergency exit in ECR platform.
AE expansion tank platform hand rail
E001 RS 39 To provide a U-shaped hand rail on AE expansion tank platform.
M/E blower flaps
E001 RS 40 Jammed louver from flap to remove and replace with louver from old spare flap.

Following change to existing RS No. 17 to be made

E001 RS 17 AUTOMATED REMOTE OPERATING BILGE VALVES.

Following defective remote operated bilge valves to be overhauled. Defective parts to be repaired / renewed.

 6. Bilge overboard valve in AE room
Yard to supply spares required for the above repairs. One set spare (spindle, bush etc which are machined by yard
as per sample from the actuators) to be supplied for use in future.
