Mechanical Engineering Department Information to the candidates for appearing in the Online Mid Semester Examinations 2021-22 Exam type and mode: 1. The Mid Semester examination will be conducted in online mode. 2. The duration of the examination is 1 hour. 3. The question pattern for the examination consisted of 5 short questions of 2 marks each and 2 long questions of 5 marks each. 4. Students are strongly advised to appear for the online examination using a Laptop or desktop with a web camera. They can appear for the examination using their mobile phone with split-screen mode. 5. The students must stay logged in, on their device through CGU email id for the entire duration of the examination, failing which the students might not access the google form for submission of their answer scripts at the end of the examination. Exam process: 1. A mail regarding the invitation to the Zoom meeting from the subject teacher will be sent to the CGU email address of the students before the commencement of the examination. 2. The students have to join the zoom meeting in a video on mode at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination. 3. The question paper will be sent to the students through CGU email id. The students should write their answers in A4 size plain papers, scan their answer scripts and upload them through the Google form link which will be provided to them by the subject teacher during the exam. 4. The students have to submit the form well before the scheduled end time of the examination and there is no auto-submission mode. If a student fails to submit the form, then he/she shall be considered absent. 5. The video of the student should be ON during the examination. 6. The invigilator may verify the surroundings of the student as and when required. Instructions for the students to follow during the Examination 1. The students should give their attendance in the chatbox of the zoom meeting in the format "Registration Number_Name" (Roll Number_Name if someone do not have a Registration Number) 2. Candidates need to ensure facing camera all the time during the exam and the candidate cannot take a break during the exam. 3. The candidate should ensure that his/her face is visible properly and there should be sufficient light in the room. 4. Candidates should not move away from their seats without the permission of the invigilator during the exam. 5. Candidates should not talk during the entire duration of the examination unless it is desired. 6. No Candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices. 7. Scientific calculators (not programmable) and rough sheets are allowed during the examination. 8. Candidates need to ensure they have submitted the answer properly at the end of the examination.
