Introduction:
The Bible is the greatest book in the whole world. It is the oldest, yet the most current; it is the master key
that can open and close any door in life. The Bible is different from all other books. There are plenty books
in this world, but the greatest of all books is the Word of God (The Bible). While every other book tells us
stories, this book (Bible) changes our life because it is loaded with wonders (Psalm 119:18), and it is also a
book of instructions (2 Timothy 3:16). The wonders in the Word therefore will only answer to those who do
whatever it tells them to do.
As we learn and receive the Word of God all through this month, the Lord will impact grace on each one to
be the hearer and the doer, so we can partake of the wonders in the Word in the mighty name of Jesus.
Amen.
WEEK One: October 3, 2021

Bible Character: Jesus
Memory Verse: Psalm 119: 130 ‘The entrance of thy Words giveth light; it giveth understanding to the
simple’.
Objective: Everyone at the end of the Bible teaching should be able to recite the memory verse; and say
what the greatest book in life is.

3:16
IV. The Word of God is the master key that opens the door to the best of life - Joshua 1:8
Faith Talk: The Word of God is the greatest book; I will do what it says.
Prayer Point: Father in the Name of Jesus, let me love and read your word daily. Psalm 119:97
Interactive Session:
Question: Being a student who has lots of book to read daily, can I wait till I get to the children’s church on
Sundays to read my Bible?
Answer: God’s Word is NOT the same as your school books or any other book. If you eat physical food
every day, then you must ‘eat’ spiritual food every day. God’s Word IS spiritual food. What physical food
does to the body is what spiritual food also does, but much more.
Jer. 15:16, Prov. 4:20-23, Is. 55:1-3, John 4:14, 1 Peter 2:2, Heb. 5:14, Prov. 24:13-14
Evaluation: What is the greatest book?
Action Point: Teachers should provide exercise books for each child, with scriptures to read each day of
the week. The child is to write his/her favorite verse from the passage/chapter, memorize it and say in one
sentence why he/she loves the verse. This book comes with them to church every Sunday, both for
marking and to collect new scriptures to read for the week.
Assignment: Close to the Light (Experiment to do at home)
Look out the window when it is nearly dark outside, stand in the center of a room with the lights off and
notice the dimly lighted sky. Now turn on all the lights in the room and look out the window. Notice now how
everything outside looks totally dark. This is similar to God's Word, which is known as the Light. When we
are far from God's Light (in the dark room), the sin of the world outside doesn't appear so dark. But when
we are close to God's Light (in the well-lighted room), it is easy to see how dark the sin of the outside world
truly is.
