Q1 in this assignment you are going to identify an ethical dilemma you have experienced as
an individual in your personal relationship and social social relationship and describe the
situation/incident. You will then select one ethical theory to show it is linked to the one you
have experienced what is the rating you want to give for handling the situation out of 10?
What is the rating you will give if you agree that an improvement in the score is possible give
reasons for your answer?
This incident was during my second year of college we were a group of 3 people and the best
fo friends and we always helped each other in every way possible the people were Maria
Max and I
Maria and max at that point were dating each other and always helped each other but the one
thing I saw was that maria was very competitive in nature with both of us especially me
because I was good in studies as well as sports.
In the beginning everything was going well but slowly I started to understand a difference in
behavior of both of them. I wondered what was wrong but I didn’t really took it soo much
seriously but then I realized both of them are trying to single me out of the group and always
avoiding me
I also asked them a couple of time that what happened and suddenly and why are you treating
me this way. They also started cracking internal jokes in front of me and made me feel left
out.
One day I went to max and asked him what is the problem but gave a very casual answer
saying nothing happened its all good and I am just over thinking.
This went on for a month I tried my level best to get back it wasn’t working out. One day I
found out that a rumor was spreading like wild fire in my department. The rumor was that I
was stealing some of the ardunio chips which were used for programming in the college and
those were very costly.
I was called by the HOD and I was humiliated in front of the whole department and my
parents were also called. At that moment was very sad and depressed and I didn’t even know
what to do. Then asked some of my other friends to help me out I also told them that max and
maria are behaving in a very weird manner.
My other friends helped me out in this situation and they tried to find out who is actually
behind all of this, and I very well knew that this is the plan of maria and max who are trying
to put me down
So I with my friends we went to the upper management and told this entire situation to them
they took it into consideration and planned a proper investigation and everything was
fortunately captured in the CCTV which they thought was not working and finally the caught
both of them and me max and maria along with the HOD of our department was called in the
principle’s office and they confessed that they did all this and put my name.
This was the personal issue I went through my second year.
The model which we can use here is
1. Employee issues

As I as a part of the institute was a victim of bulling and harassment

2. Leadership ethics

The upper management of the college took this into consideration and took the
necessary actions and solved the issue quickly

The rating I would give my self for handling the situation is 8/10
The reason why in am giving this rating is because I didn’t just sit behind and be victim I
stood for my self and fought back.

I do agree that during the initial days when they started bulling me I should have confronted
them in a much firm manner because I thought they are my best friends and they will realize
their mistake and improvise
I definitely should stopped them then and there itself at the very first stage.

to give yourself for handling the situation out of 10? What is the rating you will give if you
agree that an improvement in the score is possible give reasons for your answer?

This situation was during my third year of my engineering where I was doing an internship
for 2 months. It was a company which operates on cloud computing and I had gone for
training there.
Along with me there were 5 other people who joined me during that period.
In the beginning I could understand that the trainer was a little bias to people who knew how
to speak in Marathi and I didn’t know nor did I understand Marathi so I did feel that bias
towards as the other 5 people were native speakers of Marathi.

During the training was feeling some difficulty because the technology which I was learning
was new to me. I had some question but whenever I used to call the trainer for help he just
told me to wait and say that he will come but he very came and he also gave more attention to
those other five people who knew Marathi
There were times where he used to come and help me but never showed me the worm
properly, because of which my concepts were nor clear
I did make a friend who was already working over there her name was marry jane. She as in
charge of handling the training of the new interns.
In the beginning was a little spectacle on should I tell her mt problem or no because since
they were working in the company they might not consider my complaint.
I kept quite for a while and this singling me out went on for a month. One fine day all the six
of us received some assignment which we have to present. I did a lot of research and during
the research o came across some doubts and I went to the trainer but he didn’t help me out at
ll but he helped those other people properly I was getting frustrated and I didn’t know what to
do. I finally decided that I will marry about my problem
She heared me out properly and I told her everything in detail. She called the trainer and
confronted everything to him and fortunately the trainer was replaced and all was well

The model which we can use here is

1. Employee issues- why this because I was a victim of bully and harassment at
workplace
2. Corporate governance- why this model because my complaint was taken into
consideration and strict action was taken immediately.

would give my self a rating of 7.5/10

the reason why because I did stand of for my self
the area where I needed to improve is where I kept I quite and didn’t take this issue early to
marry as the internship was only for 2 months.
