A. Jack Procedure at the Main Landing Gear Axle

1. Make sure the downlocks are installed on the nose and main landing gear.

2. If one tire on the main gear axle is flat, do these steps:

a) Use the minimum height axle jacks to lift the airplane (AMM 07-11-11/201).
b) If you cannot install the axle jack, do these steps:
1) Put an inclined block below the good wheel. Push the good wheel onto the
block.

NOTE: Make sure the block is of sufficient height to make the subsequent installation of
an axle jack not necessary.
3. If two tires on the main gear axle are flat, do these steps:
a) If jacks of correct heights are available, use the minimum height axle jacks to lift
the airplane (AMM 07-11-11/201).
b) If jacks of correct height are not available, do one of the two procedures that
follow:

1) Do this procedure to inflate the tires:

a) Make sure one tire is in satisfactory condition and is in the correct
position on the wheel.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE A PRESSURE REGULATOR ON A HIGH PRESSURE AIR SOURCE
WHEN YOU INFLATE THE TIRES. DO NOT INFLATE THE TIRES ABOVE THE TIRE
STRUCTURAL LIMITS. DAMAGE TO THE TIRES CAN OCCUR.

b) Make sure a source of high pressure air is available, such as air bottles.
c) Inflate the tires (AMM 12-15-51/301).
d) Install the axle jacks.

2) Do this procedure to lift the main gear onto inclined blocks

a) Put one inclined block below each wheel of the main gear
NOTE: The slope of the inclined blocks are not important except for the increased tow-bar
load. The blocks must be level at a minimum height of 4 inches to install a jack with a
closed height of 10 inches.
b) Push or pull the airplane to move the main gear up the inclined blocks.
c) Install the axle jack between the wheels of the gear.

B. Jack Procedure at the Nose Landing Gear Axle

Make sure the downlocks are installed on the nose and main landing gear.

1. CAUTION: DISCONNECT THE NOSE GEAR TORSION LINKS. RUDDER PEDALS ARE
CONNECTED TO THE NOSE GEAR STEERING AND MOVEMENT CAN PUSH THE NOSE GEAR
OFF THE JACK. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

2. Disconnect the nose gear torsion links.

If one tire on the nose gear axle is flat, do these steps:

a) Use the minimum height axle jack to lift the airplane (AMM 07-11-11/201).
b) If you cannot install the axle jack, do these steps:
3. 1) Put an inclined block below the good wheel. Push the good wheel onto the
block.
NOTE: Make sure the block is of sufficient height to make the subsequent installation of an
axle jack not necessary.
