ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Lesson 8

1. Under the new normal environment, what preparations would you do to deliver the
lessons to your students to achieve “quality education” in the area of education, science
and technology, culture, arts, and sports. Specify the platforms to use, the management
of instruction to follow, and the assessment to use.

In order to bring quality education to the new normal, teachers should be able to utilize
online teaching platforms such as google classroom, google meet, google jamboard, etc.
in order to deliver the prepared lesson materials for the students through distance
learning. The teachers should be able to adjust to the changes of the modality and be
considerate to the situation of the students who are suffering from the difficulty of finding
an internet access and device. The management of the instruction should be the
following: (1) providing syllabus, (2) providing learners material, (3) presentation of the
lesson’s topic, (4) giving them seatworks, and (5) giving them assessments to work on.
This will assess if the learners are able to follow and understand the lessons despite
working online. The assessment type that could be use is either a problem solving for
science and technology, writing reflections for culture and arts, or submitting a collage of
them doing physical exercise in sports.

2. As a future teacher, write at least three (3) specific projects or proposals on how you will
implement the “education accessible to all.” Include the objectives, mechanics of the
projects/proposals, the type of participants (targets as to level of education); time table (if
possible); and other important details your project/s should have.

EDUCATION ACCESSIBLE TO ALL

Project: Aral Tayo: A Discourse about Online Educational Tool for Students
with Special Needs

Objectives:
To disclose information for the students with special needs in regards with the utilization
of online educational tools like Google Document, Sheet, and etc.

Mechanics of the projects:

The proponent of this project will prepare an online seminar through ZOOM cloud meeting
in order to maximize the number of attendees. The event will be presided by some
professional speakers discussing the proper utilization of some educational tools to the
students with special needs and to teach them with tips on how to access them without
causing confusion.

Type of participants:

in accessing educational tools in order to meet the expectation of the society to cope up
with their education.

Project: Gabay Pagbasa: Literacy Program for Students from Grade 1-3.

of how to ease this kind of problem in order to ensure the educational welfare of the
students.

Mechanics of the projects:

The proponent of this event will invite a professional speaker that will discuss what is
math anxiety, how to deal with it, and what is the significance of being aware of it.

ACTIVITIES/ASSESSMENT: Lesson 9

1. Based on the video of DepEd (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tJ4IZxgIl0), explain

the relevance of PPST to the teacher’s professional growth and development.

In essence, the PPST is relevant to the teacher’s professional growth and development in order
to establish explicit expectations for teachers along well-defined career stages of professional
growth, from entry-level to distinguished practice. must aggressively encourage instructors to
continue their efforts to become proficient.

2. Using the same video, how would the teachers assess his performance in bringing out the
quality of education

To bring out quality education, teachers should know what to teach and how to teach it. They
should sustain a learning-centered environment and plan and design an effective teaching
material. A teacher should also teach diversity among his students but keep a professional
attitude to their work. They should also utilize variety of educational tools to assess the students
capability in learning and be accountable to responsibility given by this work.

3. Write your own critiques or analysis of the CPD law in terms of its implementation and
impact to the teachers’ professional growth and development.

I gave a positive outlook of the CPD law in terms of its implementation and impact to the
teachers’ professional growth and development. Continuous Professional Development gives
individual employees the abilities they require to stay productive. To improve personal abilities
for use in the business, CPD transforms learning into something deliberate and proactive as
opposed to passive and reactive. This can result in advancement, a sense of expertise, and
more worth in the job market. In addition, there are a range of various approaches involved.
Workshops, conferences, and e-learning or online courses could be utilized for this approach.

Self Reflection:

As I watched the two movies, I realized that running a school or being a teacher is really a hard job
since you have to dedicate your life to teaching and learning. It is also a great help to understand our
rights especially for the aspiring teachers to know the limitations and boundaries set by the society.
Thus it does not only concern our sake but for the welfare of the students.
