Crochet Instructions
Note: You will be holding yarn doubled for this entire pattern! If you want to know
how that is done, refer to my YouTube tutorial video.

If you do not want to hold the yarn doubled for this project: You must use a smaller
hook that is suitable for a single strand of the yarn that you are using. (For instance, if
you use medium weight yarn, I recommend using a 2.75mm hook or whichever size
to keep the stitches tight and free of gaps when you crochet.) If you follow the
directions exactly as written, your finished lion will be proportionate but smaller than
the measurements indicated for this pattern.

Finishing Directions

Using dark brown yarn and a yarn needle, sew a triangle nose on the muzzle
1. and a line for a mouth.

Place the muzzle on the head. As you do so, insert the eyes on both sides of
2. the muzzle as well. (I put the eyes between R11-R12.) Once you are satisfied
with the positioning, secure the eyes and sew the muzzle to the head.

Sew the ears between the two flaps of the mane, with one ear on each side.
3. Then, sew the mane onto the lion’s head.

Sew the arms and legs to the body. If desired, use dark brown yarn to sew
4. details onto the foot, such as lines for paws.

Make sure the body and head are both

stuffed well. Finally, sew the body to the
head, and you are done!
