Procedure for doing Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (Anulom Vilom Pranayama)

Sit comfortably,
keeping your spine straight and shoulders relaxed.
Keep a gentle smile on your face.
Place your left hand on the left knee, palm open towards the sky or in chin posture. (Thumb
and forefinger lightly touching).
Place the index and middle finger between the two eyebrows,
the ring finger and little finger on the left nostril of the nose and the thumb on the right
nostril.
We will use the ring finger and little finger to open and close the left nostril and the thumb
for the right nostril.
Press your thumb gently on the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril.
Now inhale through the left nostril and then press the left nostril gently with the ring finger
and little finger.
Open the right thumb through the right nostril and exhale through the right nostril.
Inhale through the right nostril and exhale through the left. Now you have completed one
round of Anulom Vilom Pranayama.
Continue to inhale and exhale through the nostrils one after the other.
In this way, breathing alternately through both nostrils complete 9 rounds.
After each exhalation, remember to inhale through the same nostril as you exhale. Keep
your eyes completely closed and continue to take long, deep and comfortable breaths
without any pressure or effort.
Keep these things in mind while practicing Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (Anulom Vilom
Pranayama)
Do not stress on the breath and keep the pace of breathing simple and smooth. Do not
breathe through the mouth or make any kind of sound while breathing.
Do not use Ujjayi Breath.
Place the fingers very lightly on the forehead and nose. There is no need to apply any
pressure.
