OBJECTIVES

Develop writing in students.

Students will be able to identify the steps to follow to write an article.

Students will be able to draft and write a first article.


ESTIMATED TIME: Approximately 45 minutes
MATERIALS NEEDED:

Presentations in Canva (Provide interactive, print, and digital presentations


to students.)

Making a video in Powtoon (video realization, the teacher presents to the


students' videos in powtoon by means of a projector.)

Direct Instruction Model Steps Direct Instruction Model Lesson
Introduction The teacher introduces the students
to the objectives of the lesson, the
students listen attentively and
observe the teacher.
Presentation The teacher introduces the new
content using examples of articles,
provides information to the student on
how to start writing the first article and
why it is important to use it. The
teacher teaches them each step to
follow and the importance of learning
how to write an article, the students
watch and listen carefully to the
teacher's explanation as the class
progresses.
Guided Practice The teacher demonstrates how to
write an article using terms and
concepts that the students can
interpret and understand correctly, as
the students create their own article.
The teacher observes and gives
some advice while the students'
practice, the teacher pauses to see if
all students are completing their
article at the same pace.

Independent Practice Students interpret their articles


independently, making use of the
article examples. As students create
their articles, the teacher goes around
the classroom to help and assist
students as needed, this work will be
evaluated later to ensure that the
student has understood the new
content correctly.
Evaluation At the beginning of the next class an
article will be written to evaluate the
knowledge acquired by the student,
this will be done in a group of two and
will be delivered to the professor for
review.
