REF: SOUTH RIFT LANGUAGE SUMMIT 2021 FOR TEACHERS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE IN SECONDARY
SCHOOLS.

This is to cordially invite all English Language and Literature teachers to a one day national workshop that will take place
on 27TH NOVEMBER 2021 at ACK GRACE CONFERENCE CENTRE [HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL], KERICHO. The event that brings
together Teachers, Examiners, Publishers and Authors, is a periodic event that is a melting pot for generating ideas which
aid the teachers in building their skills portfolio in pedagogy sharpening KNEC skills approaches.

The theme for this year is THE KNEC QUESTION; FINDING THE ANSWERS.
A panel constituting of classroom teachers, who are examiners and authors of revision books will facilitate and moderate
the teachers’ event. After consultations with TSC County office and Kessha, it was decided that we give teachers quality
and credible training. Therefore, it was decided that we focus on two papers [Paper One and Paper Three] to allow
sufficient time to do an in depth, interactive, elaborate and conclusive training that will accrue its value.
The seasoned team for P1, and P3 will each lead a two hour interactive session before the final plenary session.
The event will start at 9a.m and end at 3p.m.
Every teacher will be provided with:
i. Certificates
ii. Full package of conference materials
iii. A Soft copy of the presentation Notes
iv. A soft copy of tens of full-set standard trial examinations with their marking schemes from selected
schools.
v. Lunch

To help us meet the above logistical expenses, each participant will be required to register by paying Kenyan Shillings Two
Thousand Five hundred Only. You are all welcome.
SEVERAL REVISION BOOKS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DISPLAY AND SALE AT DISCOUNTED PRICES. LOCALLY ACTED SETBOOK
DVDS WITH GOOD QUALITY PICTURE AND GOOD SOUND WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE. BESIDES, THERE WILL BE DVDS WITH
SETBOOK ANALYSES.
UWA WILL ENSURE THAT ALL M.O.H COVID-19 PROTOCOLS WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO.
