Example:

Cover all grey dots

with given digit figures.
Figures can be used
any number of times
and each figure placed must cover
exactly the corresponding number of
dots. Figures can be rotated, but can
not be reflected. They must not overlap
each other. Given black cell can not be
a part of a digit.
Answer key: write down the content of
the lower-left upper-right diagonal in order, replacing covered cells with corresponding digits and
empty cells with “X”. For example the answer should be: XX5XX3X.

17. Building cross-equations 8

Place all of the given figures into the grey cells of the grid, so that in each row and Example:
each column a true math equation is formed. Arithmetic operations have the usual
priority. Figures can be rotated, but can not be reflected. Digits and operations do 7 = 3 + 4
not change while rotating. All 10 equations must give different results. Digits do - = =
not repeat in a row or a column. 1 = 7 - 6
Answer key: write down the results for all columns from left to right, followed by the = - -
results for all rows from top to bottom. For example the answer should be: 6,3,4;
