I: OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, 80% of the students will be able to:
Explain their idea about Philippine arts;
Respond to questions about themselves and their expectations for Senior
High School
Work with group by sharing one’s responses to given questions
Collaborate with a group to present group output

A. Preliminary Activities
For three minutes, the class begins with a prayer, to be followed by the checking of
attendance, the proper arrangement of the chairs and the review of the previous
lessons. Time allotted is 5 minutes.
B. Motivation
A short game will be done. Students have to create a paper tower out of the 10
pieces bond paper given. This is to be done by group and good for 5 minutes only.
C. Lesson Proper
The teacher welcomes the class and introduces himself (specialization,
background and credentials)
Presentation of the objectives will be done by reading the items flashed in the
screen.
From the list below, teacher will be asking questions for the class to answer.
a. What object best represents you?
b. What is your feeling right now being the pioneer SHS ABM Students?
c. What do you know about Senior High School?
d. What are three correct, good, or wise decisions you have made in JHS?
What were the effects of these actions?
e. What are your expectations about the subject matter- Contemporary
Philippine Arts from the Regions
Learners are asked to think of their responses and write it them down. After
they have written their responses, the teacher will ask them to group
themselves into at most five members. Groups assign a leader and secretary.
After sharing the session, the class can reflect on the answer of the group.
The teacher can ask the following questions.
a. Who has similar responses?
b. What is the lesson you get out from the paper tower activity?
c. How can this be applied to your learning experiences later?
d. In what way you can each other, as well as to the school and the teacher?
The teacher will introduce the lesson proper by soliciting what is their idea
regarding Philippine Art.
The teacher then provides a proper ending by emphasizing that SHS is a new
beginning and a proper venue to start anew as an individual, learner and as a
class, that their similarities and differences will help the class achieve their
goals.
IV: EVALUATION
Wind-shield test is to be done.
V: AGREEMENT
Research about the different contemporary art form and their practices across the
regions.
