Health and safety is important when making a production. This is because you need to look
for any dangers that can harm you or your crew. To prevent things from happening to you
or your crew a risk assessment sheet is needed to be filled out, that contain the dangers at
the location. E.g. wet floor, broken glass, splinters, vehicles and high shelves. This is so that
you are able to take of the dangers so it is suitable area that cannot hurt you or yo ur crew.

This affected my production negatively because I had to take time to fill out the health and
safety forms so that I was also able to film at the location. An example of this is when I was
in production I had to fill out the sheets for my health and safety so I had no time to make
my scripts.

This affected my production positively because it prevented myself and my crew from
getting hurt. This was because I knew what the dangers were so I was able to take them out
before I started filming.

When making a production it is important that you stick to using your own footage and no
other peoples work. This is because you would have to pay for music , images or archive
footage it was not made by the person themselves. This means that the person who is
making the production would have to save some money if they are going to use other
peoples work.E.g. music, images and archive footage

This affected my production negatively because I did not get permission to use the archive
footage form them person who made the footage that I had used. This meant that I had to
pay the royalties to the person. This would have cost me more money and I would have
gone over my budget.

I didn͛t really have any positives in my production. This was because that I did not stick to
the rules of the copyright. But the only positive of copy right was that I know my work would
get protected.

c
This is when a person is insulted so that the target audience think of them differently
negatively. This law is so that the protect people so that fake things are not said about
them. This also makes the producers of the product research their facts and figures to make
sure that they are true. An example of this is the producers say something that is not real
about someone.

This would have affected my work because I would have had to research my work properly
so I knew that the facts about people and what I would be talking about.

The positives about the feature were that I could have said that all police are racist but I
didn͛t which meant that people did not think of the police negative. I also could have said
that most black people get stopped and searched but I didn͛t. an example of this is where I
done my vox pops where I asked people if they had been stopped and search before and I
had a black person who had said yes but I e vened it out with a white person saying no I have
not been.

This is when the details of a person who is in the documentary are protected. If the
information is not protected from other people being able to access it then the person
whose details are exposed are able to sue you up to £5,000. An example of this is when you
make a contact list during pre-production you will need to delete all of the contacts that you
have used so that the data is protected.

This affected my production negatively because I did not protect people͛sphone numbers
and their emails because I put them on the internet. An example of this is in my contact list
during the pre-production.

A positive of data protection was that I asked people if I was able to ask them some
questions and I also asked people if I was able to interview them. I had to ask people if I was
able to interview them to be on camera so I knew if I was defiantly able to film the interview
before going to meet them.

This law is used to protect all races and ethnicities from being disrespected or discriminated.
It is also used so that people respect from different races. This makes the producers think
about how they will be able to make their feature reach all ethnicities and races. If the
audience feel that they have been disrespected in the documentary that has been made by
producers then they can make complaints to ͚Ofcom͛ so that the programme is not
broadcast. The audience are also able to complain to the courts so that they can get an
injunction to get it taken out.

This would have affected my production because I would have got complaints from people if
the company who produced the production was racist t o people or if they disrespected a
certain type of ethnicity.

I did not disrespect any race this meant that I did not get any complaints from anyone saying
that my documentary was raciest. I also did not disrespect a certain type of ethnicity so I did
not any complaints from ͚Ofcom͛. This had also affected my production because I had
wascourses or what I was saying in the documentary that I had made.

This is when you harass people to do something and then you keep asking them. An
example of this is when you ask someone to do an interview or vox pop and they say no
then you are not able to keep asking them because this will affect their privacy.
If information was exposed so that people were able to access people pho ne numbers or
emails it could possibly affect the person͛s reputations.

This would have affected my document because I would have got complaints from people.
It would also affect a media company because the product that they are making will not be
able to broadcast the documentary. This means that the money that they have spent on the
product that they were making would go to waste because it will not be able to be
broadcasted.
I broke this rule because I had intruded peoples when I was asking them questions. An
example of this was when I ask an individual if they had b stopped and searched before.

You able to keep you information to yourself so that no one is able to get hold of it. I will
also save you money because people will not complain so you save money.

The budget is set so the producers an amount of money that they are have to stay within it
also manages the company͛s time this is because the budget allows you for the amount of
days that you have booked out the equipment out for . This is also so that they do not spend
a lot of money on making the production. This money is used to pay for royalties for footage
that is not been made by the company. The budget is so that you can plan to get things in
pre-production, production and post -production.
Things that are needed in pre -production are;
@V Travel
@V =hone bill
@V `tationary
@V =rint money
Things that are most needed in production are:
@V dv camera for days that you are filming.
@V Tripod
@V _ode mic
@V °rew
@V Tapes
@V 'ood
Things that are needed in post-production;
@V i-mac
@V I-movie
@V 'inal cut pro
@V Headphones
@V °amera to upload footage

The budget affected me negatively because I had to be careful with what equipment that I
hired and what equipment I didn't need for al l three stages of my producti

The positive things about the budget were that I was able to see how much that it would
cost if I was making a production that was being broadcasted. The other positive was that I
kept within the budget that I was giving which also meant that I had money spare so that I
was able to pay for royalties if it was the real thing.

The technology is important this is because it needs to be good quality equipment that you
are using to film the product. This is so that when you are filming the product the crew
know how to use the equipment that it being used. Before you get the equipme nt you need
to check it you this is so that you know that the camera is working. If you do not check that
the camera is working then you are at risk of messing the footage up of what you are
filming.

Then could have effected my production negitively because if the equpiment was not top
quality then I would have not been able get the quality that my proction was at. The
equipment was a reasonably good because I was able to film the footage that I wanted to
film.
I also had to check the equipment that u was using was working this was so that it did not
fult when I was filming the interview of voxpops

This benifted me because I knew how to use the technology that I was using so it allowed
me to try new things with the equipment that was being used. I feel that if I had a better
camera then I would have been able to get better quallity out of my final product that I had
made.

The role of Ofcom (the office of communications) is to regulate the content of the BB° radio
and television programs and many other channels.If the BB°fails to stick to the rules then
they will possibly get a fine the will also have to sen d an apology to the audience saying
sorry for what they had done.

 -This will affect my production negatively because it will manly focus on
one side topic which was about stereotyping. I will also need to be careful of that
information that I was giving the audience because it was easily able to mislead them.
