III. Definition of the Problem

The main subject, which is particularly challenging for all members, is the new online

learning platform of education during the pandemic. This will be a problem since it will

affect their academics, responsibilities, expenses, and ability to keep up with their

lessons. They are having difficulty adjusting to the new method of learning since they are

uncomfortable with it as a result of a decrease in their self-esteem and confidence. It also

affects their relationships with their peers because they are unable to communicate

effectively.

IV. Assessment

Each of the group members is struggling with the new method of learning, which is the

online platform. The following are several reasons why the members are having difficulty

with online learning: They first found out that they had a poor internet connection

because not everyone has the proper gadgets that they can use for their education.

Second, lack of load allowance because of having financial problems. Third, increasing

their responsibilities at home. Fourth, they are experiencing difficulty keeping up with

their lessons because their activities are not properly discussed. Fifth, they lose interest in

their studies which results in reduced productivity. Lastly, online learning gives stress

and pressure to the members in terms of heavy workloads and a lack of time for

submitting their activities. It is not easy for them to adjust to the online platform of

education, especially as they face more responsibilities.

Conducting group work sessions may help our clients not to feel alone in every battle of

their lives and give them strength to cope with today’s happening in our country

particularly the stressful life events. The sessions will help the participants to improve

their self-development, empower themselves and support one another. Also, the sessions

will give them memorable experience and they will recognize themselves as persons with

worth, direction, and purpose, as well as a good outlook in life. Additionally, it will

encourage them to have hope in their lives and will remind them that, although bad things

happen in our lives, there will also be positive and joyful memories that may occur.
V. Helping Goals

At the end of this session the helping plan aims to empower the youth that will improve

their self-development and support themselves. Also, to strengthen the youth’s positive

mindset to cope with the online learning platform and in terms of handling stressful life

events.
