1. WHAT DID I UNDERSTAND?

The something that I have learned in this lesson is the

distinction between reading styles, such as skimming,
scanning, and lengthy reading. Skimming is a reading
technique that allows us to rapidly read or gather the
most significant information or main concept. We could
compare skimming to skipping. Scanning is a technique
for rapidly scanning a text in order to spot a specific
piece of information, or we might say that our eyes are
moving quickly while reading. Extensive reading, on the
other hand, is used to collect information or gain a better
understanding of a subject and involves reading longer
texts for pleasure and satisfaction. Also, I understand
Anthony Marra's Chechnya narrative, in which we
confront it all together online under the supervision of
our subject teacher. I knew what it meant to be a critical
thinker, therefore I read Maya Angelou's poem
"Equality" with comprehension. And then write a critical
essay about it, and I'd think that it's an intriguing poem.
2. WHAT DID REALIZ
E?

I realized that there is a term or name for what I do when

I read, such as skimming, scanning, and extensive
reading. I felt I was reading quickly so that I could keep
up with others, write significant points to review, and
respond to my teacher's inquiries, among other things.
Also, I enjoy reading some books for long durations than
I did the previous time I did so. We can learn anything
and alter or enhance our thinking by reading literary
works with a thorough understanding of them. Finally,
equality is something that everyone in the world has
desired to accomplish, and we must either acknowledge
it or take steps to attain it through various means.
3. WHAT DO I WANT TO LEARN MORE?

What I want to learn more about and understand

better are the different other reading approaches. It is
critical for me to be able to broaden my understanding
of literary works, English skills, and reading
difficulties. I'd like to learn more about how to criticize
or write an analysis of those works because it may help
me improve my vocabulary and many other things if I
learn anything new. In addition, I wish to learn the
word "equality," which is the most important word to
humanity. Because of the inequality, this makes us feel
uncomfortable. And as I got to know them all, I
realized that I wanted to be their supporter and a part
of them because it was the best decision I could make
as a human being and a student. Overall, there are
many things I need to learn about reading,
interpretation, analyzing works, and appreciating
both living and nonliving things (human beings and
reading books).
4. HOW WILL I IMPR
OVE MYSELF/
COMMUNITY/ SOCIE
TY/COUNTRY/ WO
RLD
BASED ON WHAT I
HAVE LEARNED?

I will better myself/community/society/country/

world based on what I have learnt By reading books
with comprehension and increasing my English
skills, I will be able to keep up with others when the
time comes, because English is the only language we
can use to speak or read. Recognizing the issue in our
culture is also very beneficial to those seeking
attention for their advocacy or voices they want to
express from one person to another. I will participate
in any youth advocacy program so that those who
have experienced discrimination, inequality, or
others who have trampled their human rights would
see it as a problem and take quick action to address it.
5. HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS AN IMPORTANT

AND RELEVANT PART OF OURSELVES AND THE

SOCIETY TODAY?

We can make social media platforms an essential and

relevant part of ourselves and society today by taking
advantage of the benefits of using them. Due to the
epidemic, we are doing everything we can to make
ourselves and others feels comfortable, and we are using
various social media platforms to communicate with our
loved ones, friends, and other people. Through this, we
can apply everything I've learnt in this class, such as
reading and chatting. Also, to advocate for something or
concerns that need to be addressed and make an
informed decision to do so. We can accomplish anything
due to numerous technological advancements. Because
the 21st generation was influenced by technology, the
internet, and the media, etc., this will be a great time for
something to change. Finally, we must recognize the
author's efforts in order for them to continue producing
wonderful yet inspiring phrases.
