 The painting entitled “My Roses” was
made by Jovie Punzalan way back in the year

2003. A personal painting that has no known
E selling price. We can definitely see the beautiful
S use of warm colors like Red, Orange, & Green
C in the painting. The use of dark shades of
R Bluegreen at the background gives an emphasis
to the subject of the painting the “Roses”

B movement. Overall, the painting is balanced and
E inspiring in the way I see it. The details and
depth of meaning can be seen the long you stare
at it.

ANALYZE
There are three things that I
observed and saw while looking and
analyzing the very painting. First of
it is the subject of the painting.
Roses can be defined as another
symbol of Love, Power and Beauty.
We can see at the painting that
the flowers are just bloomed and
still blooming. There are 5 bloomed
flowers of roses, the number can
mean to curiosity and adventure. It
could be the artist are still curious to
other things and want to explore and
adventure more.
If you also look carefully there
are 8 more buds that hasn’t bloom
yet. It can resonate to authority,
self-confidence, social status, inner-
strength, inner wisdom, wealth, love
for humanity and the desire of
peace.
INTERPRETATION
If we interpret all the things we
just analyze in the painting, it could
result into beauty of freedom and
love that can be found in yourself
or other person. The eagerness to
go forward, to break the limitation
in your life, and to reach the
unreachable things can be some of
the results if we let the curiosity
and being explorer that is kept
inside of ourselves.
In every rose that we see there
are thorns that are visible and can
hurt us if we don’t pay attention.
These thorns can interpret into
challenges and hardships that we
will face in our life as our journey
goes on. It will test your strength,
wisdom, and your desires in life. If
you are victorious, the reward will
be satisfying just like waiting for
real roses to grow and bloom into
beautiful flowers.

JUDGEMEN
Tdoes For me, the very reason why
this painting “My Rose” has
made was because of love. Love,
power, wealth, good health, and
many more are some of the
reasons why we are doing one
thing. “THREE THINGS WILL
LAST FOREVER --- FAITH,
HOPE, AND LOVE --- AND
THE GREATEST OF THESE IS
LOVE.” One of my favorite
scriptures and considered life
verse. This part is entitled
“judgement” but you will do
anything for love and there will
be NO judgement, how ironic
isn’t it? Just like the rose may we
all be patient, and set our sights
and focus on what we really
want. We all need to be a rose,
wait for a span of time to grow
and to bloom into a beautiful,
gorgeous, and wonderful being
and at the end we will be love by
the people that appreciate and
truly waited for us.
