1st Simbang Gabi / Misa de Gallo

Responsorial Psalm:
O God, let all the nations praise you, alleluia, alleluia!

1. May God have pity on us and bless us;


may he let his face shine upon us.
So may your way be known upon earth;
among all nations, your salvation. (R)

2. May the nations be glad and exult


because you rule the peoples in equity;
the nations on the earth you guide. (R)

3. The earth has yielded its fruits;


God, our God, has blessed us.
May God bless us,
and may all the ends of the earth fear him! (R)

2nd Simbang Gabi / Misa de Gallo
Responsorial Psalm:
Justice shall flourish in his time, and fullness of peace forever.

1. O God, with your judgment endow the king,


and with your justice, the king’s son;
he shall govern your people with justice
and your afflicted ones with judgment. (R)

2. The mountains shall yield peace for the people,


And the hills justice.
He shall defend the afflicted among the people,
save the children of the poor. (R)

3. Justice shall flower in his days,


and profound peace, till the moon be no more.
May he rule from sea to sea,
and from the river to the ends of the earth. (R)

4. May his name be blessed forever;


as long as the sun his name shall remain.
In him shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed;
all the nations shall proclaim his happiness. (R)

Responsorial Psalm:
Justice shall flourish in his time, and fullness of peace forever.

1. O God, with your judgment endow the king,


and with your justice, the king’s son;

2. For he shall rescue the poor when he cries out,


and the afflicted when he has no one to help him.
He shall have pity for the lowly and the poor;
the lives of the poor he shall save. (R)

3. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,


who alone does wondrous deeds.
And blessed forever be his glorious name;
may the whole earth be filled with his glory. (R)

Responsorial Psalm:
Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved.

1. O shepherd of Israel, hearken,


from your throne upon the cherubim, shine forth.
Rouse your power,
and come to save us. (R)

2. Once again, O LORD of hosts,


look down from heaven, and see; take care of this vine,
and protect what your right hand has planted,
the son of man whom you yourself made strong. (R)

3. May your help be with the man of your right hand,


With the son of man whom you yourself made strong.
Then we will no more withdraw from you;
give us new life, and we will call upon your name. (R)

Responsorial Psalm:
Let the Lord enter; he is the king of glory.

1. The LORD’s are the earth and its fullness;


the world and those who dwell in it.
For he founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers. (R)

2. Who can ascend the mountain of the LORD?


or who may stand in his holy place?
He whose hands are sinless, whose heart is clean,
Who desires not what is vain. (R)

3. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD,


a reward from God his savior.
Such is the race that seeks for him,
that seeks the face of the God of Jacob. (R)

Responsorial Psalm:
Exult, you just, in the Lord! Sing to him a new song.

1. Give thanks to the Lord on the harp;


with the ten- stringed lyre chant his praises.
Sing to him a new song;
pluck the strings skillfully, with shouts of gladness. (R)

2. But the plan of the Lord stands forever;


the design of his heart, through all generations.
Blessed the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he has chosen for his own inheritance. (R)

3. Our soul waits for the Lord,


who is our help and our shield,
for in him our hearts rejoice;
in his holy name we trust. (R)

Responsorial Psalm:
My heart exults in the Lord, my Savior.

1. “My heart exults in the Lord,


my horn is exalted in my God.
I have swallowed up my enemies;
I rejoice in my victory.” (R)

2. “The bows of the mighty are broken,


while the tottering gird on strength.
The well-fed hire themselves out for bread,
while the hungry batten on spoil.
The barren wife bears seven sons,
while the mother of many languishes.” (R)

3. “The Lord puts to death and gives life;


he casts down to the nether world;
he raises up again.
The Lord makes poor and makes rich,
he humbles, he also exalts.” (R)

4. “He raises the needy from the dust;


from the dung heap he lifts up the poor,
to seat them with nobles
and make a glorious throne their heritage.” (R)

Responsorial Psalm:
Lift up your heads and see; your redemption is near at hand.

1. Your ways, O Lord, make known to me;


teach me your paths,
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my savior. (R)

2. Good and upright is the Lord;


thus he shows sinners the way.
He guides the humble to justice,
he teaches the humble his way. (R)

3. All the paths of the Lord are kindness and constancy


toward those who keep his covenant and his decrees.
The friendship of the Lord is with those who fear him,
and his covenant, for their instruction. (R)

9th Simbang Gabi / Misa de Gallo
Responsorial Psalm:
Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.

1. The favors of the Lord I will sing forever;


through all generations my mouth shall proclaim your faithfulness.
For you have said, “My kindness is established forever”;
in heaven you have confirmed your faithfulness. (R)

2. “I have made a covenant with my chosen one,


I have sworn to David my servant:
Forever will I confirm your posterity
and establish your throne for all generations.” (R)

3. “He shall say of me, ‘You are my father,


my God, the rock, my savior.’
Forever I will maintain my kindness toward him,
and my covenant with him stands firm.” (R)

Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord, Christ the Lord.

1. Sing to the LORD a new song;


sing to the LORD, all you lands.
Sing to the LORD; bless his name. (R)

2. Announce his salvation, day after day.


Tell his glory among the nations;
Among all peoples, his wondrous deeds. (R)

3. Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice;


let the sea and what fills it resound;
let the plains be joyful and all that is in them!
Then shall all the trees of the forest exult. (R)

4. They shall exult before the LORD, for he comes;


for he comes to rule the earth.
He shall rule the world with justice
and the peoples with his constancy. (R)

Responsorial Psalm:
All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God.

1. Sing to the LORD a new song,


for he has done wondrous deeds;
his right hand has won victory for him,
his holy arm. (R)

2. The LORD has made his salvation known:


in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice.
He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness
toward the house of Israel. (R)

3. All the ends of the earth have seen


the salvation by our God.
Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands;
Break into song; sing praise. (R)

4. Sing praise to the LORD with the harp,


with the harp and melodious song.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
sing joyfully before the King, the LORD. (R)
