SECTION 2, SEXUALITY AND GENDER
“GENDER SEX AND LOVE”

I. Introduction.
In Gender, Sex and Love is not literally talks about what is Gender, What is Sex and What is all about Love but it
talks about the what are the some issues that affect the Gender, Sex, and Love. It shows how, despite austere and even anti-
sex like sex trade, prostitution and abuse against women and child, and hetero sexist reputation. It was also explore specific
contemporary issue such as marriage, abortion, Sexual orientation.
Definition of Terms.
Pimp- a man or a person who was controls prostitute and arranges clients for them, taking part of their earnings in
return
Debt Bondage- also known as bonded labor or debt slavery, workers are told they can pay off a loan of their own or
of a family member by working it off.
Brothel- a place where people engage in sexual activity with prostitute
Gender Equity- A provision of fairness and justice in the distribution of benefits and Responsibilities between
women and man. To ensure fairness, strategies and measure often by available to compensate for women’s historical and
social disadvantages that prevent women and men from otherwise operating on a level of a field
Problems: Prostitutes, Sex Trade, Sex as Trade
II. Body and Outline. Gender, Sex and Love.
Under the text book of Global Woman the first topic is the article which is the “Because she looks like a child”. The
main Idea of “Because she looks like a child” is about the author is discussing the issue of child prostitution and sex
trafficking that occurs in the country of Thailand. Siri is a fifteen year old child prostitution who is a victim of a sex
trafficking and debt bondage. She was sold by his parents as a mean of economic Stability. Siri is aware of what prostitution
and sex trafficking can potentially do to her while discussing her recent encounters including how many men she has had sex
with at the brothel, and her concern about getting AIDS, and pregnant

The next article which is “Selling Sex for Visas”, The main Idea of this article A women in Dominican Republic
migrated through out to work to Sosua’s Sex Trade. Many Dominican sex workers look to their clients as sources not only for
money, marriage and visas but also greater gender equity than they can hope for in the house holds they keep with Dominican
Men. Some might hope for romance and love, but most tend to fantasize about greater resources and easier lives. They
dreamed European men rescuing them from a lifetime poverty and closed oppurtunity
