NOTE: before the pandemic we used to take the students to different provinces in Thailand, sometime we eve

take them abroad like Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and South Korea.
The main for purpose of the English camp is to provide an opportunity to practice their English in a stress free
environment. It is assumed that by providing fun English activities outside the classroom, the students will be
more motivated and inspired to acquire the language.
Organizing an English Camp is a yearly project of the English Gifted Learners Program. It is one of the biggest
projects of my department. It has been proven effective as it really ignites the students passion to learn more. The
project also creates a strong bond among the EGL teachers and students. *** we always say that the EGL is a
FAMILY.
Now, due to the pandemic we haven’t had an English camp for 2 years. As I have observed our students are
getting bored and burned our with their daily routine of studying online 7-8 hours a day. That’s why I have
realized that maybe it is possible to have a virtual English Camp to awaken the students love and desire to learn
English.

Based on the Survey that I did the students wanted to have a pressure free environment to enjoy and have fun
learning English with their friends, same as an Actual English camp, the students want to practice speaking,
conversation, and pronunciation with their friends and teachers. They wanted to play fun English Games, Skits,
Songs and Dances. The survey showed that they do not want to study reading, writing and grammar as it is boring
for them and they always study it during regular school days.

It is also reflected in the survey that the students don’t have any internet connection problems and all of them
have gadgets that they could use.

Students Suggestions

1. Should do activities that are not boring. Should do activities that make children feel that waking up or
taking time to sleep to do activities is not a waste and not useless. And participation in activities
should depend on the satisfaction of the child because each child's abilities are different. Refusing to
participate or not participating in activities does not mean that the children are not good at it. but
because of the different potential Make it impossible to show everything through organized events.
Therefore, this camp should involve children in designing, planning activities, designing their own
schedule 100% because everything depends on the people involved. leave it for consideration

2. From this camp, I want to learn English both for entrance exam and in daily life. However, I think it’s
should be a camp that can make students relieve stress from learning for a long time and also for
students that have to prepare for the university or to prepare for the other school in M.4.

3. I want to learn English from songs or movies. I want to do fun activities in the camp such as singing,
dancing and I want to do activities that are not stressful and not pressured.

4. The online camps should't be so hard and boring for students because some of students can get the
pressure easily by looking at the computers and it's new platform for everyone

interact with their friends in the camp.

6. I'm afraid of some foreign teachers. And I'm not comfortable opening my webcam because it's broken
and I don't have enough money to fix it.
