• 88 percent growth in the volume of digital transactions were registered in

the country during the last three years.

 • This was stated by Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat
Kisanrao Karad in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.

Govt says AYUSH market has grown at 17% in 2014-20 to reach 18 billion
dollars

• Government has said that the market size of Ayush has grown by 17
percent from 2014 to 2020 to reach 18.1 billion dollars.

• As per the Research and Information System for Developing Countries
(RIS) report, despite a slump in economic activity in 2020 due to Covid
pandemic, the industry is projected to reach 20.6 billion dollars in 2021 and
23.3 billion dollars in 2022.

Centre declares Soya Meal as an Essential Commodity up to 30th June, 2022

केंद्र ने 30 जून, 2022 तक सोया मील को आवश्यक वस्तु घोशषत शकया
 • The Centre imposed stock holding limits on soya meal, which is used as a
raw material in the poultry feed industry, till June 2022 to curb hoarding as
well as check price rise.
• केंद्र ने जमािोरी पर अंकुि िगाने के साथ-साथ मूल्य वृद्धि पर अंकुि िगाने के डिए जून
2022 तक सोया मीि, डजसका उपयोग पोल्टर ी फीि उद्योग में कच्चे माि के रूप में डकया
जाता है, पर स्टॉक रिने की सीमा िगाई।
• The limits will be in place till June 30, 2022 and an order in this regard was
issued with effect from December 23.

• Besides, the government has notified an order under the Essential
Commodities Act to declare ‘soya meal’ as an essential commodity up to

Singapore makes COVID vaccination mandatory from February 2022

• Singapore has announced that COVID vaccination will be a mandatory

condition for the approval of new applications for long-term passes, work
passes, and permanent residence in the country from February 2022.
• डसंगापुर ने घोषणा की है डक फरवरी 2022 से दे ि में िंबी अवडध के पास, वकय पास और
स्थायी डनवास के डिए नए आवेदनों की मंजूरी के डिए COVID टीकाकरण एक अडनवायय ितय
होगी।
• The new rule will be implemented from February 1, 2022.
• नया डनयम 1 फरवरी, 2022 से िागू होगा।
• The new order in Singapore, however, will not be applied to children below
the age of 12 or those who are medically eligible to receive the vaccination.

• Japan has launched Inmarsat-6 F1, a communication satellite, through a

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) H-IIA204 rocket from Japan’s
Tanegashima Space Center that will enter geostationary orbit, about 22,240
miles (35,790 kilometres) above the earth.

• It is developed by the London-based company Inmarsat as a part of its
next-generation satellite broadband service.

SIDBI signed MoU with West Bengal to develop MSME ecosystem

• Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) signed an MoU with

the government of West Bengal to develop the Micro Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSME) ecosystem in the state.
• भारतीय िघु उद्योग डवकास बैंक (SIDBI) ने राज्य में सूक्ष्म, िघु और मध्यम उद्यम (MSME)
पाररद्धस्थडतकी तंत्र डवकडसत करने के डिए पडिम बंगाि सरकार के साथ एक समझौता ज्ापन
पर हस्ताक्षर डकए।
• According to the MoU, a project management unit (PMU) of SIDBI will
work with the state government.
• एमओयू के अनुसार, डसिबी की एक पररयोजना प्रबंधन इकाई (पीएमयू) राज्य सरकार के
साथ डमिकर काम करे गी।
• PMU will study the existing framework and guide stakeholders for the
cluster, sector-specific products, interventions for MSMEs by placing an expert
agency of SIDBI with the state MSME department.

• Recently, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) said it has

rolled out various developmental measures for MSMEs
· Under its project SAHAS, SIDBI has soft-launched “Swavalamban
Chair for MSME Solutions,” at Government Engineering College,
Thrissur, supported by Swavalamaban Resource Facility, set up in
partnership with Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office,

· SIDBI has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU)

• Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) agreed to set up an
innovation fund in partnership with the Assam Government to promote
start-ups: handed over a commitment letter of Rs 350 crores to the Assam
Government under the cluster development fund.

window of Swavalamban Challenge Fund (SCF) which aims to provide
financial support to non-profit organizations, educational institutions for
addressing developmental gaps.
