Course Outcomes: Through this course students should be able to

CO1: describe the role of Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism in RPA development.

CO2: explain the workflow of Automation Anywhere in automating complex tasks.

CO3: use various controls and methods to create bots.

CO4: examine the actions, decisions, and spying elements in Blue Prism.

CO5: justify the use of different commands to automate Excel in Blue Prism.

CO6: write scripts to perform process automation.

Unit 1

Working with web services - SOAP web service, REST web service, Extract JSON data from Rest web
service response

Working with XML files - Starting, validating and ending XML sessions, reading, updating, inserting,
deleting xml nodes, executing xpath functions

Working with databases and forms - connecting to, disconnecting from, databases, reading data from
databases and updating databases, forms- trigger loop

Unit 2

Automation Anywhere Robotic Interface Desktop (AARI Desktop)- Getting started with AARI,
implementing front office automation using AARI, implementing back-office automation using AARI

IQBot – Getting started with Intelligent Document Processing, Difference between IQBot and OCR

SAP – Automating business processes using AA 360

Unit 3

Building modular bots and sub tasks- designing modular task bots and running sub task bots, passing
variables between main and sub task bots, working example walk-through.

Discovery Bot Automation - Process Discovery Steps, Automatic Bot & PDD Generation

Bot Insight - Create Bot Insight Dashboard - Business and Operational

Introduction to Blue Prism - Getting to know the Blue Prism Process Studio, inside a Blue Prism
