Write a three-page paper describing a business firm of your choice in

terms of the following: the company, its products, its customers, and its
competitors

The Business that I choice is Traditional Filipino Food Restaurant because There is
no Filipino gathering, large or little, where food does not take center stage.
Whether the event takes place in a restaurant or at home, the host ensures that the
visitors are warmly welcomed, entertained, and generously served with carefully
selected foods to fit the occasion. When visitors arrive to our houses, they are
treated as though they are family. This is why Filipinos are well-known for their
hospitality.
Our generosity and friendliness toward foreigners and fellow Filipinos alike are
traits that are deeply entrenched in our culture. Guests, even strangers, are always
pleasantly received in our homes. Often Filipinos go out of their way to make the
visitor comfortable. It is a trait not confined to the rich and educated but can be
found among the masses as well. This Filipino hospitality is not only observed in
the Philippines but it is also found wherever Filipinos live in communities around
the world.
Filipinos are very proud of their traditional cuisine. Despite the fact that Chinese,
Japanese, Indian, and other cuisines have impacted Filipino cooking, the challenge
for the Filipino cook is to retain their traditional recipes as authentic as possible.
Because the Philippines is made up of numerous islands, Filipino traditional food
is regional, and recipes can differ greatly. My mom's "adobo" may differ in
appearance and flavor from my "tita's (aunt) adobo." I believe, however, that as
long as we meet the requirements for what makes an "adobo" a "adobo" and the
food tastes delicious, fresh, and cooked the way it is done at home, it will be well
received.
That why I encourage my self to do this kind of business to promote our own
locality and to make try to the foreign people what Filipinos have.
The food culture of the Philippines is sometimes overshadowed by its northwestern
neighbors – Thailand and Vietnam. But the Philippines can easily hold its own on
the global culinary stage and even came in second in a 2015 CNN poll asking
readers what country was their favorite food destination.
Here are some products that foreign customers should try the Tocino is the Filipino
version of bacon. It is pork belly cured in sugar, salt, and various other spices then
fried – yum! It is served as part of a common Filipino breakfast called tosilog. The
name is a combination of its 3parts: tocino, sinangag (garlic fried rice),
and pritong itlog  (fried egg).
Kinilaw is a delicious seafood dish served up all over the Philippines. It consists of
slices of raw fish marinated in vinegar along with other ingredients like calamansi
juice, salt, pepper, and chili peppers. The name kinilaw literally means “eaten
raw”.  Very similar to ceviche, the main difference is that Kinilaw relies on vinegar
rather than lime juice to “cook” the fish. The
Sinigang is a sour soup that is typically made with pork and tamarind though
sometimes other sour fruits like guava, green mango, or calamansi are used
instead. Tomatoes, garlic, onion, and various other vegetables complete the stew.
Kare-kare is a thick stew made from oxtail, vegetables, and a peanut sauce. It
reminded us a bit of massaman curry from Thailand which makes sense as the
word ‘kare’ is derived from the Filipino word for curry, and lastly the Pork sisig is
most common and it consists of chopped up pig ears, jowls and liver, onion, and
chili peppers delivered on a sizzling hot skillet with a raw egg on top. You’ll need
to mix in the egg to cook it before the skillet cools down. It usually comes with a
couple calamansi halves so you can squeeze the juice over the top.

The customers of my traditional Filipino restaurant would be those foreign people

that travel to our country so that they can try and taste the food of our country.
They can try the best adobo, sisig and etc. that they don’t eat before.

Our restaurant serves ethic food from different parts of the Philippines and we make
sure that the three (3) main islands in the Philippines, Luzon, Visayas and
Mindanao, have a dish that would represent them so that they are direct and indirect
competitors of our restaurant called "EATNIKO”. First of all, we choose them as a
direct competitor because they are also a restaurant like our product "EATNIKO"
and also serve Filipino dishes and last but not least because our group has decided
that our location is inside the Intramuros like our direct competitors because this
place is a heritage tourist spot and it's perfect to put our business here for tourists.
