UNIT 7.

1 REPORT
1. three things that I significantly learned from the video clip…
-1. Step by step graphing a linear inequality
2. Addition/subtraction property for inequalities
3. Inequalities are equation with greater-than or less-than symbols instead of equal signs

2. Three things that are still unclear to me…

-1. Misconceptions confusing an inequality with an equation
2. Determine which side of boundary line represent
3. What does it mean when an inequality is false

3. I used to think that … -a process is used to solve a linear inequality is to solve single
linear inequalities follow pretty much the same process for solving linear equations. We will
simplify both sides, get all the terms with the variable on one side and the numbers on the other
side, and then multiply/divide both sides by the coefficient of the variable to get the solution.

4. Three questions that I want to ask about the video clip…

-How to easy write a mathematical statement Inequalities.
-How to solve a solution in both inequality and interval notation
-what is the process to solve linear inequality

UNIT 7.2 REPORT
1. three things that I significantly learned from the video clip…
-1. Characteristic of geometry linear programming
2.To find the points of intersection if the two line
3.  A mathematical technique that determines the best way to use available resources.

2. Three things that are still unclear to me…

-1. The corner principle
2. Advantage of using linear programming
3. Simplex method

3. I used to think that …  the fundamental theorem of linear programming says that if there
is a solution to a linear programming problem then it will occur at one or more corner points or
the boundary between two corner points. In other words, the solution is going to be on the edge
of the region, not in the middle.

4. Three questions that I want to ask about the video clip…

-1. What is requirement in solving geometry linear programming
2. Why linear programming is important
3. How to determine the feasible; region assume that x and y are equal to zero.
UNIT 7.3 REPORT
1. three things that I significantly learned from the video clip…
-learning objectives use the simplex methods
- systematic procedure for testing the vertices as possible solutions.
- approach to solving linear programming models by hand using

2. Three things that are still unclear to me…

-standard minimization problem
-other problems
- process

3. I used to think that … Simplex method is an approach to solving linear

programming models by hand using slack variables, tableaus, and pivot variables as a
means to finding the optimal solution of an optimization problem. Simplex tableau is
used to perform row operations on the linear programming model as well as for
checking optimality.

4. Three questions that I want to ask about the video clip…

-What type of problem is solved by simplex method
-what is the key element in simplex method
-what is the purpose of simplex method
