The country of a thousand colors is the cradle of Hindu culture, present in many of its temples
scattered throughout India, such as Karni Mata, Khajuraho or the Goldem Temple. The official
languages of India are Hindi and English. (Anggie)

Famous places:

-Taj mahal

Not only for being one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, but for being a beautiful
building that combines Indian architecture and others such as Islamic or Persian. Besides being
surrounded by a love story. (Juan)
-Jodhpur

Known as the "blue city" for the color of its houses, Jodhpur is located in northern Rajasthan and is
one of the most famous cities. (Anggie)

-Madurai

It is a city in the state of Tamil Nadu, which is worth visiting as part of the historical sites of India
for the monuments it has. (Juan)

-Pushkar

It is one of the oldest cities and considered one of the places of pilgrimage for Hindus. The Pushkar
lake is the center of the city life. You will love the sunsets, especially if you see them from the
terrace of a restaurant. (Anggie)
Animals and plants:

- Indian wolf

It is of medium size, and its fur is short and dense of reddish or beige color. It does not usually
howl and is hunted by farmers for feeding on livestock. (Juan)

- Indian cobra

It is a venomous snake with a head wider than the rest of the body. It can exceed two meters in
length and its color varies according to where it lives: it prefers plains, jungles and densely
populated regions. (Anggie)
-Lion Macaques

It is a primate endemic to southwestern India that spends most of its time in trees, and its main
characteristic is that it has a lighter 'mane' around its head. The rest of the body is black and has
reddish eyes. (Juan)

- Common peacock

One of the most beautiful birds in existence, due to the long and multicolored feathers only
present in males. Males are larger and their body feathers can be of different colors while females
are usually brown or brownish.(Anggie)

Climate:

The territory of India obeys the monsoon season, like many South Asian countries. This is because
the Thar desert attracts moisture-laden winds from the southwest, which between June and
October bring the rains to the country. (Juan)

India is also sheltered by the Himalayas from the cold katabatic winds of Central Asia. (Anggie)

The flag. Composed of a tricolor flag, known as trianga: orange, white and green. In the center
there is a navy blue wheel with twenty-four peaks. (Anggie)

The emblem. It is the figure of the Lion of Sarnath, four lions representing power, courage and
confidence, standing on a circular abacus, in which four small animals representing the cardinal

The hymn. The hymn of India is entitled Jana-Gana-Mana ("The spirit of all the people"). (Anggie)

Popular Indian sport (Juan)

Cricket is the most played sport in India, while soccer, field hockey, badminton and tennis vary in
popularity depending on the area. Kabaddi is a sport that originated in India.

A contact team sport, one player on each team meets half of the opposition and attempts to touch
the opposing team members then return to their half home. If the attacker is tackled, however,
the opposing team wins a point.
