B.READING
Read the following text.

Brazil is one of the most visited places in the world.

Every year thousands of tourists come to Brazil for the
heat and the beautiful beaches. Popular attractions include
waterfalls in the jungle, but visitors enjoy the happiness
and liveliness of the local people.
Sara’s parents go to a different country every summer
and last year they decided to go to Brazil. They went with a
group of friends and stayed there for seven days. Sara
was a little worried because she read it was a poor country
with incidents of violence and she thought it wasn’t the
best destination for a holiday. It was a ten-hour flight from London – almost an entire day flying over
the ocean. It was hard trying to keep herself occupied and not die of boredom.
The hotel was in the centre of the city and was full of tourists. They went on some guided tours
together and explored the area. There was so much to see! They went to the local markets, saw a famous
waterfall, and visited an amazing bird park. The city was huge and the beach sand was white and warm.
There were lots of people sunbathing or just walking along the beach.
The Brazilian people were very happy and kind, and the food was delicious. Sara took lots of photos
and brought some souvenirs for her friends and a postcard to put up on her bedroom wall. It was a
memorable experience, one she would not forget.

UNIT 3: TEST B
Listening script
Part 1
I went to a concert with my friends yesterday. We arranged to meet at the bus stop after school, but I had to go home first to change my shoes.
Kyle was also a bit late, so it was ok. The concert was at the stadium, and as we arrived early, we had an ice-cream before we went in. We
planned to have dinner with our parents after the concert. There were lots of teenagers and we even saw some friends from school! We were
pretty excited!

Part 2
Thomas: Did you enjoy the concert yesterday?
Alison: Well, it began a little late, that was annoying. And we couldn’t take any snacks, I was hungry by the time it started. But they are
my favourite band anyway. I know all the song lyrics, and I had a great time.
Thomas: Really? And what’s your favourite song?
Alison: “Magic”. It reminds me of summer, I heard it over and over again during the holidays. One day I heard my neighbour singing it too.
Thomas: That’s funny! And which concert are you going to next?
Alison: Oh, I have to think about it!

Part 3
To buy the tickets for the concert you may go to the stadium on weekdays in the afternoon or buy them online, on the website. There are also
some bookshops selling them at the shopping centre. It's probably easier to buy the tickets there.
