ANTUDO!

(Animus Tuus Domine - Courage is your Lord) was

the key word used by the leaders of the revolt of Vespers in Sicily
in the 13th century against the French invaders of King Charles I
D'Anjou.

Aim of the game

The players are the leaders who are organizing the revolt; their job
is gather and exchange supporters, money, weapons and
provisions for the uprising.

Players: 2 to 3
Duration: 20-30 minutes
Age: 12 years old and up.

Components:
9 cards:
- 6 cards form the map of the city of Panormus;
- 3 cards double sided with characters leaders of revolt and their mission.
18 small cubes of different colors (6 blue, 6 red, 6 white).

Setup
Take the 6 cards that make up the map and place it on the table.
Choose your character card and the color of the cubes; one of these should be used as a pawn on the map and the others to mark goals
on your character's card.

The Map
6 numbered cards form the city of PANORMUS and each card is a neighborhood:
card 1 – PALAGIUM;
card 2 – SERALCADI;
cards 3-5 - QASR KEMONIA;
cards 4-6 - QASR PAPIRETI.

The map is divided into hexagons; the streets are in yellow among the houses, all free; in some of them
there are figures circled with objects and characters.
At the beginning of the game, the player's starting point is the one with the character to whom he has
chosen the role.

The character's card

1. Name and role of the character;

2. Objectives of the mission; to be marked with a cube of the chosen color on the objective
achieved;
3. Movements allowed on the game turn (at the player's choice);
4. First mission of the character, to be done before the others;
5. Message to recite when he meets an equal, after greeting (ANTUDO!)
6. Instruction to be performed in the event of a patrol.

Players must first collect the items used to organize the uprising.
Then they have to hide them (even one at a time) in houses near the hexagon with the chariot.

If the soldiers confiscate the collected goods, start the collection from the beginning.
Gameplay
The oldest player starts, followed by the other players in age order.

How to play:
these are the actions to be done when the cube of the game is on the figures:

< on object (coins,swords, cups, clubs and document): collect it;

< on other character: recite the greeting (Antudo!) followed by the message on your card;

< on chariot: the collected objects must be hidden in the neighboring houses;

< on document: it is a permit to be used in case of stop by the soldiers;

< on soldier: it is the ultimate goal of the game when the player has completed all his missions.

< cube on the red circle: area controlled by armed soldiers, so the character can be stopped and confiscated of what he has
collected; if the character has taken an object and has not yet delivered it, he can pass if he has a pass document with him.

Game End and Winner

The game ends when one of the leaders has completed all his missions and arrives on the soldier icon to start the uprising.
