PROJECT TITLE: OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH WEEK: REALIZING THE

ESSENCE OF EDUCATION PROGRAM

RATIONALE

The project is very important as it will help out-of-school youths to gain and
enhance their knowledge even in the absence of formal education. It is unfortunate
that some youths do not get the chance to complete schooling. This happens due to
many different reasons including poverty, illness, unsupportable parents, and
lacking support of government.
This project will be a great opportunity to change their outlooks in life. In our
Barangay, I’ve observed numbers of youths especially indigenous people that have
an eagerness to learn. Unfortunately, there are some factors that affects their
dreams in life. Thus, this project will ensure that they can get supplemental
education services. The project will further improve issues about education. The
“Out-of-school Youth Project”, will be implemented in one week, through
providing learning tools, sharing sort of lessons, giving motivational advices and
etc. With the implementation of the project, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of
Lebak, Barangay Nuling and the donor community will serve as the fund or budget
in developing and conducting my/our project. Donors and the government should
offer enough money to enable the young individuals to go through school and
various occupational program.

OBJECTIVES
1. To enhance awareness of some young people in target location on
importance of education, through 7 days of providing supplemental
education services
2. To develop a young’s mind and imparting knowledge to estimated 50 youths
aged between 12-18 years, and motivating them to attend in school again.
3. To provide materials or learning tools that are beneficiary to the selected
youths.
4. To help out-of-school youths within the given limited time frame, 3rd week
of the Month July, 2021.

METHODOLOGY
The project “Out-of-School Youth Week” will start by involving the target
participants and consulting the Barangay Nuling officials about the goals of the
project. On the first day of the week, we will reach out and group the selected
youths in every purok of the Barangay. Then right after that, we will conduct a
symposium about the importance of Education in our everyday lives. The other
activities will be held on the remaining days of the week. Including, giving of
reading materials, arts & crafts workshop and sharing sort of knowledge we gained
from school. The activities that were needed to accomplish will be executed for
seven consecutive days, start from 8am 2pm in a day in order to achieve the goals
of the project.

BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

The source of the funds for this project will come from the Lebak officials,
barangay and from some individuals who are willing to donate. The total amount
that will be used was Php 8, 500.00.
