• As of January 30, DeKalb County has reported 121,427 confirmed cases of 2019 novel
coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and 1,330 confirmed COVID-19 deaths, an increase of 4,109
cases (+3.5%) and 19 deaths (+1.4%) since the last report on January 26.
• During the week of 1/22 to 1/28, there were 1,148 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people in
Dekalb, which is defined as “high” community transmission by the CDC
• 5,689 COVID-19 cases (953 cases per 100,000 population) were diagnosed in the most recent
14-days (1/11–1/24), a 69.6% DECREASE from the previous 14-days (12/28-1/10)
• Of all persons diagnosed with COVID-19 in DeKalb, 6.2% needed hospitalization and 1.1% died
• As of January 28, Georgia Department of Public Health reported that DeKalb accounted for 6.6%
of the total number of COVID-19 cases in Georgia to date
• As of January 28, Georgia Department of Public Health reported that DeKalb has administered
1,076,613 vaccines, and has 471,410 residents with at least one dose (63%) and 426,122 fully
vaccinated residents (57%)
o 43% of fully vaccinated residents have received a third dose or booster dose.
