Conversion application
and requirements CONVERSION

Eligibility For Elite Lite only

• Validation period: Coded month (M0) + first 6 months


• Elite/ Elite Pro conversion upon meeting requirement within rolling past 3 months
production.

Performance • AFYP/ AFYC RM 25,000 & 9 cases, will be converted to ELITE category in the
requirements following calendar month for Elite Lite.
• AFYP/ AFYC RM 45,000 & 12 cases, will be converted to ELITE PRO category in the
following calendar month for Elite Lite.

Validation • Only AFYP/ AFYC and cases from Individual Life Policies and Family Takaful
Certificates will be counted.
• Meet the required AFYP/ AFYC and number of cases in the respective category.
• Must achieve PR D0 90% and D1 85% persistency if available, as per latest available
PR.
• Subject to interview outcome with minimum 2 DOA/SDOA/Sales Head.
• Only participant who passed required entry requirements, all assessment and
interview are eligible & deemed a successful Conversion participant.
• Submission of past Income document and resignation letter from previous
employer is required.

Assessment SPM holder is required to complete Registered Financial Planner Module 2 (RFP M2 e-
requirement for learning) before Elite/ Elite Pro Conversion application.

Elite/ Elite Pro Conversion Application Process Flow:


• Submission of complete “AIA Elite Academy Elite/ Elite Pro New Application and Conversion Rules &
Regulation Form” to AIA Elite Academy branch PIC upon meeting the requirements within the eligible
validation period.
• Required documents (refer to application form) must be presented by applicant during the interview with 2
DOA/SDOA/Sales Head.
• AIA Elite Academy notification email will be sent to the successful candidate and leader after assessment.

Commencement Month Applicable to New & conversion Elite/ Elite Pro.

Commencement for New Application


• 1st day of the subsequent month (M1) after the Elite/ Elite Pro is coded.
• In the event the Elite/ Elite Pro meets the bonus validation requirements in the coded month (M0), the
commencement month will be on the same month (M0).

Commencement for Conversion


• 1st day of the subsequent month (M1) after the Elite/ Elite Pro conversion application is approved.
• In the event the Elite/ Elite Pro meets the bonus validation requirements in the approved month, the
commencement month will be on the same month.

All Elite/ Elite Pro are required to attend mandatory AIA Elite Academy training and supervision programs

according to respective segments.
Training & Supervision
• Total duration of required Training & Supervision programs is up to 18 months.
• Maximum 1-day excused absence is allowed per month in the required Training & Supervision programs.
• Refer Appendix for detailed Training & Supervision agenda for Elite and Elite Pro.
• Training program and dates are subject to change depending on circumstances.
The Training intake starts with 8 days onboarding Training (Aviator 1 & Aviator 2); Monthly intake dates for year
2021 as below:

ELITE and ELITE PRO Monthly/ Quarterly Bonus payout terms and conditions:

AIA Elite Academy production count


Include All Individual Life Policies and Family Takaful Certificates (inclusive of Investment-
Linked insurance component), A-Life Medik Famili, Corporate Solution, Personal
Accident.
Exclude Yearly Renewable Term products, Yearly Reducing Term Premiums products, Single
Premium policies, A-Enrich Gold Additional Top-Up, A-Plus Signature Saver, A-Life
Signature Schedule Top-Up, A-Plus Saver/ Investment-Linked Investment Portion & Ad-
Hoc Top-Up, PRS, Mortgage and its Family Takaful equivalents.
• Annual First Year Premium (AFYP) is referring to Conventional Life business and Annual First Year
Contribution (AFYC) is referring to Takaful business.
• 50% of AFYP/ AFYC credit is granted if the regular premium/ contribution paying term is less than 10
years except A-Life Medik Famili.

Other Terms & Conditions:


1. Accumulation of coded month (M0) production into following month, Elite/ Elite Pro commencement
month (M1) is allowed. {M0+M1 total production = M1 total production}. Accumulation is only
applicable to New application M1 commencement. Not applicable to Conversion.
2. Upon meeting the QUARTERLY validation threshold, for every case short of the requirement, it can be
compensated with an additional AFYP/ AFYC RM 10,000 automatically. Any AFYP/ AFYC used for case
count will be deducted from Quarterly AFYP/ AFYC total block of business. Only applicable to Individual
Life Policies and Family Takaful Certificates.
3. Monthly/ Quarterly catch up bonus payout will be forfeited if the Elite/ Elite Pro does not meet all
payment validation requirements.
4. Quarterly Bonus catch up is applicable, provided Elite/ Elite Pro meet the minimum 1 case captured per
month and the Quarterly Bonus Validation requirement.
4.1. Case count is Individual Life Policies and Family Takaful Certificates only.
4.2. Cases that fall under CFI, Surrender, Lapse and ROP may cause production and case count
deduction.
5. Must always meet PR during bonus pay out.
6. Payment made at the end of the quarter will be the “Quarterly Accumulated Bonus” minus “Total
Monthly Bonus” received in the same quarter. Should the Elite/ Elite Pro achieve higher accumulated
monthly bonus by the end of the quarter, whichever amount is higher will be paid.

Elite/ Elite Pro Participants who are terminated from AIA for any reason will be withdrawn from AIA Elite Academy
1. Retention automatically. Once a participant has withdrawn from the AIA Elite Academy program, he/she will not be allowed

1.1. Elite/ Elite Pro must achieve required AFYP/ AFYC and Number of cases every Quarter during
Quarterly Retention validation.
1.1.1. Quarterly required AFYP/AFYC and Number of cases are described in Table 1.

1.2. Elite/ Elite Pro will be validated for Retention should they fail to meet the required Quarterly AFYP/
AFYC and number of cases.
1.3. Elite/ Elite Pro must meet Retention validation requirement should they fail to meet required
Quarterly AFYP/ AFYC and number of cases.
1.3.1. Retention validation requirement is validated on total accumulative production from
Elite / Elite Pro commencement month to date. Retention validation requirements are
described at Table 2.
1.3.2. Retention validation requirement can only be exercised ONCE throughout the entire 18
months program.
1.3.3. Elite/ Elite Pro who fail to meet Retention validation requirement will be subject to
Reclassification or Withdrawal.

2. Reclassification to Elite category (applicable to Elite Pro only)


2.1. Elite Pro will be reclassified to Elite category should they fail to meet the Retention validation
requirement with minimum 3 cases capture within a quarter (applicable to Individual Life Policies
and Family Takaful Certificates only).

3. Withdrawal from Elite Academy to Standard Life Planner


3.1. Voluntary choice of withdrawal from AIA Elite Academy is allowed subject to submission of
withdrawal letter to the AIA Elite Academy team with Elite/ Elite Pro’s consent together with the
leader and the DOA/SDOA/Sales Head’s endorsement.
3.2. Elite/ Elite Pro will be withdrawn from Elite Academy if
3.2.1. Fail to meet required Quarterly AFYP/ AFYC & number of cases and has exercised (Once)
Retention validation requirement.
3.2.2. Fail to meet Retention validation requirement and fail to capture minimum 3 cases
within a quarter.

• For first month bonus pay out, payment will be made on 12th of the following month after first month’s
Monthly bonus payout validation exercise via GIRO process and 1 payout per month (receiving within 12th + 2 days).
• For second month bonus pay out and onwards, payment will be made on 28th of the following month after
each month’s validation exercise via GIRO process and only 1 payout per month (receiving within 28th + 2
days). No advance payout will be made if requirements are met earlier.
• Bonus Validation for Elite/ Elite Pro will be paid based on the commencement month only.
• Any production captured before the commencement month is not counted for bonus validation.
• A minimum of 1 case captured in the respective payout month, persistency and training requirement must
be met to receive the Quarterly Catch Up bonus payout.
• No transfer or sharing of cases is allowed.
• All cases and production count are for approved and in-force cases only, captured by the last date of the
validation month. ROP/ ROC cases will not be counted for any validation.

Must achieve D0 90% and D1 85% persistency if available, as per cut off 15th of the following month during all
Persistency Requirement payout validation.
• If policy/ certificate sold earlier and subsequently classified as ROP/ ROC or CFI, the Elite/ Elite Pro must
replace the policy for validation and bonus payout. Only successful released ROP/ ROC will be counted for
CFI, Surrender, Lapse and Production & number of cases on the ROP/ ROC release month.
ROP • For lapsed or surrendered cases, every effort should be made to immediately reinstate the policy/
certificate.
• CFI = Cancelled From Inception, ROP = Replacement of Policy and ROC = Replacement of Certificate.

Share/ Transfer cases No transfer or sharing of cases is allowed; including cases submitted under other agent code prior to AIA Elite
Academy coded date.

• Welcome Calls: There will be a Welcome Call to 50% of all new policies sold by Elite/ Elite Pro.
Important Governance • Client Phone Number: All new Elite/ Elite Pro policies/ certificates must include a valid phone number. Any
case found with life planner’s own phone number (unless it is their own policy/ certificate or family
members’ policy/ certificate) will not be recognized as a case count and AFYP/ AFYC.
• Elite/ Elite Pro will be terminated if fraud/ misconduct is detected and all policies serviced by the
terminated Life Planner will not be assigned to any Life Planner.
• The Company reserves the right to claw back 100% of total bonus pay out from Elite/ Elite Pro and take
legal action against Elite/ Elite Pro and Leaders to recover all losses paid if fraud/ misconduct is detected.
• In the event if Elite/ Elite Pro is contracted and licensed as insurance agent or leader with other insurance
company within 12 months from the resignation/withdrawn/graduated date of AIA Elite Academy
program, 100% of total bonus pay out from AIA Elite Academy will be clawed back. The total bonus clawed
back are inclusive of all relevant contests launched for AIA Elite Academy.

Important Terms:

1. Elite/ Elite Pro must remain in the AIA Elite Academy for any bonuses to be paid out.
2. All CFI, ROP/ ROC cases shall be deducted accordingly from validation calculation. Where applicable, the company reserves the right to
claw back the Monthly and/or Quarterly bonus.
3. No appeal will be entertained.
4. If there is any breach of “AIA Elite Academy” rules and regulations including of the Company’s Market Conduct Guidelines currently in-
force and or as issued by the Company from time to time, termination of Life Planner from AIA Elite Academy is at the discretion of the
Company.
5. The Company reserves the absolute right to change or modify the Rules and Regulations as stated above, or discontinue this program
with notification to the agency force.
6. In the event of any dispute, the Company’s decision is final.
7. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the contents of this document; in the unlikely event of any error and/or omission
(typographical or otherwise), the Company reserves the absolute right to amend, withdraw and reissue an amended version, whereby
the previous version shall be rendered null and void.

AIA Vitality Membership for Elite/ Elite Pro
The AIA Vitality membership will be given to you free of charge as part of the AIA Elite Academy program. You will be enrolled as an AIA Vitality
member under the following conditions:

1. Your AIA Vitality membership will begin from the 1st of the next month after you are contracted as an Elite/ Elite Pro.

2. Your membership will be provided free for one (1) year.

3. Your membership will be terminated after one year, or when you are terminated or withdrawn from the AIA Elite Academy program due to
whatever reason, whichever occurs first. You may continue the AIA Vitality membership following the eligibility criteria of a Normal Life Planner
or customer.

By signing the AIA Elite Academy program agreement, I give my consent to AIA Bhd/ AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd. to enroll me as a member of AIA
Vitality and agree with the following Terms & Conditions:

1. That any personal information collected or held by AIA Health Services, AHS (whether contained in this application or otherwise obtained)
may be held, used and disclosed by AHS to individuals/ organizations related to and associated with AHS or any selected third party (within
or outside of Malaysia) for the purpose of processing this application and providing subsequent service for this and other financial products
and service related to AIA Vitality and to communicate with me for such purposes. I understand that I have a right to obtain access to and to
request correction of any personal information held by AHS concerning me. Such request can be made to any of AIA’s Customer Service
Centre.

2. That any information regarding my health that I provided on the AIA Vitality member portal will not be used by AIA for my insurance/Takaful
application as AIA’s underwriting and claims department is not privy to such information. I understand that any health, medical or other
information that may affect the risk or coverage under any of my insurance/Takaful application must be separately disclosed and provided to
AIA as part of my insurance/Takaful application and I agree to do so.

3. I also understand that any subsequent disclosure that I made on the AIA Vitality member portal on my health, medical or other information
that may affect the risk or coverage under any of my existing insurance/Takaful or new application are not accessible by AIA's underwriting
