First conditional investigation
What is the First Conditional?

The first conditional is used to talk about things which are possible in the present or the future —
things which may happen: Example. Explanation. If it's sunny, we'll go to the park. Maybe it will
be sunny — that's possible.

When can you use it?

The first conditional (first conditional) is used to pose scenarios in the future whose realization is
very likely. For this reason, it is the indicated conditional to express plans. Option 1: If + Condition
(sentence with a verb in the present simple) + will + Result (sentence with a verb in the infinitive).

We use the first conditional (First Conditional) to talk about future events that are likely in a
given situation. This verb tense tells us what will happen (or what is likely to happen) in the
future if something else happens first. The first conditional refers to probable and realistic actions
or events. It should not be confused with the second conditional, which usually refers to imaginary
situations (for example, "If I won the lottery, I would never work back!": "If I won the lottery, I
would not go back to work!").

What is the grammar structure for this conditional?

The first conditional is used when we are talking about something that is likely to be in the
future. The main and most used formula is If + Simple Present + Subject + Simple Future (Will).

However, it also has other constructions. Let's see them in this table:
