Preface
This supplementary sheet is the instruction manual for the selected
elevator parts installation and elevator hoistway equipments layout as well
as the special technical requirements for treatment. Elevator erectors,
therefore, must carry out the installation work in accordance with this
sheet’s requirements; in addition to that the elevator installation instruction
manual has been carefully read by the erectors, prior to the installation.

2.Adjustment of the tension of the traction steel wire rope
Adjust the tension of the traction wire rope that exceeds the standard according to
the calculated tension percentage (adjust the nuts on the taper sleeve of the wire
ropes to allow the force of the traction wire rope to be balanced). Fix the taper sleeve
when adjusting to prevent the rotation of the traction wire ropes.
To meet the satisfactory results, it is required to adjust the tension of the traction
wire rope for several times. Since when releasing or tightening the taper sleeve bolts,
the traction wire rope cannot be changed in pace, and it is required to repeat for
several times to adjust the tension on the traction wire rope uniform.
Installation of Guide Rails
The running speed, stability and noise level of the elevator are directly affected by
the fabrication precision and installation quality of the guide rails. In regard to the
installation, it is required that the guide rails shall be upright and vertical and two guide
rails shall be parallel, and the connections shall be treated smooth etc. Therefore,
during the elevator installation, the erection of the guide rails shall be handled
carefully.
The following attentions shall be paid during the installation of guide rails:
(1) The connections of the two lines of guide rails for the car shall not be at
the same level (see to the diagram);
(2) When the elevator bumps into the top and sits on the bottom, every
guide shoe shall not exceed the guide rails;
(3) The working surface of the guide rails shall be free from any scratch,
burr or bend and the straightness of each guide rail shall have an error
not more than 1/6000 of its length; the deviation of a single guide rail
with the installation datum at an interval of 5m shall not be above the
following values:
10.6mm for the car guide rails and the counterweight guide rails
installed with the counterweight safety gear;
21.0mm for the counterweight guide rails without safety gear;
1-Connection Plate 2-Connection
3-Bottom Guide Rail 4-Guide Rail Base

▲Guide Rail Support
The guide rail supports are the supporting pieces for the guide rails. It is required
that at least two sets of guide rail supports shall be minimally installed for each guide
rail. But for the guide rail on the most top section, when the length of guide rail is below
800mm, only one set of guide rail supports shall be required for fixing. The distance
between the guide rail supports shall not exceed 2,500mm.
1. Car Guide Rail Support
The car guide rail supports include two types – angle steel and folded steel sheet,
separately as shown in the diagrams.
(1) Fix the supporting angle steels with the steel expansion bolts (fixing
support);
(2) Cut the length of the support feet according to the actual dimension on site;
(3) Connect the supporting plate and the supporting feet (fixing support and
adjustable support) by the bolts;
(4) Weld the supporting feet and supporting angle steels on site;
(5) Fix the guide rail and guide rail supports through the rail clips;
(6) Firmly weld the reinforcement angle steel (if any) with the supporting feet
and supporting angle steels.
2. Counterweight Guide Rail Support
The counterweight guide rail supports also include two types – angle steel and
folded steel sheet, separately as shown in the diagrams.
(1) Fix the supporting angle steels with the steel expansion bolts (fixing
support);
(2) Cut the length of the support feet according to the actual dimension on site;
(3) Connect the supporting plate and the supporting feet (fixing support and

adjustable support) by the bolts;
(4) Weld the supporting feet and supporting angle steels on site;
(5) Fix the guide rail and guide rail supports through the rail clips;
(6) Firmly weld the reinforcement angle steel (if any) with the supporting feet
and supporting angle steels.
Note: there is no reinforcement angle steel when L1 is ≤550

f) As shown in the following diagram (left), verify if there is any connection step
at the connection of the guide rails. When the connection step is above that
required in Table Q, the guide rail planer shall be used for planning and
slicking. Please refer to the following diagram for the alignment of slicking
lengths (right);
g) For the unevenness of the plane at the connection of the guide rails, a 500mm
steel ruler can be used against the guide rail surface to check the positions a,
b, c and d with a feeler. The unevenness shall not exceed those specified in
the following table (see the following diagram).

(1)a and b gap correction: it can be adjusted by the special tool after the bolts of
the connection plates are completely tightened;
(2)c and d gap correction: it can be adjusted by inserting 0.1mm thick spacers at
the position marked with “x” in Diagram B.
▲Specification for Application of Steel Expansion Bolts:
A、The steel expansion bolts are only applicable to the cement members with the
cement strength no less than 180kg/cm2 instead of brick structural members.
B、The cement wall thickness shall not be below 120mm;
C、Please refer to the following diagram for the requirements for the distance

Floorboard Splicing:
1. When the floorboard is PVC (3mm thick) material, PVC floorboards shall be
installed first and the skirting board shall be spliced. PVC floorboards shall be
installed beside the inner side of the skirting board;
2. When the floorboard is marble (20mm thick) material, the skirting board shall
be spliced first and the marbles shall be installed. The marble area shall be the
clear area of the car platform surface. The marbles shall be installed closely

2. 1.5mm thick steel sheets are used for the double-side drilled and single-side
single-face drilled car walls. The car walls are connected by the bolts.
As shown in the above figures, the car enclosure and platform are connected by
the skirting boards and the rivet nuts are embedded on both ends of the car walls.
5mm gap will be reserved when the car wall and skirting boards are connected to
achieve a good ventilation effect.
3. The door headers have two structures – normal straight wall header and slant
header. The former is as shown in the figure with a simple grand design and easy
fabrication to provide the elevator with a simple, elegant and grand profile.

▲ Installation and Fixing of Hoistway Traveling cable:
The traveling cable shall be fixed to the guide rails through the traveling cable
fixing support.
Caution:
1. The traveling cable shall not be knotted or curved, and shall not scratch or touch the
hoistway and car articles during the running
2. The cables shall not touch the pit ground and car bottom frame after the car has
compressed the buffers
If there is a pit maintenance platform, its distance with the bottom surface of the pit maintenance platform
shall be ≥150mm; if there is not, its distance with the buffer base shall be ≥50mm
