ADVICE – GENERAL SCREENING/OUTBOUND TRAVEL

POSITIVE: Your coronavirus test result is POSITIVE. You had the virus when the test was done.
Even if you have not had symptoms of coronavirus, you must self-isolate for 10 days from the day after your test date. If you were already
self-isolating and had a test because you've been in close contact with someone who tested positive, your self-isolation period restarts if you
test positive. Your test sample may be genome sequenced to check whether you have a virus variant of concern or variant under investigation.

If you received a positive test result for the test taken you do not need to take any further tests. You may be contacted for contact tracing and
to check that you, and those who you live with are self-isolating (if required). You should inform your employer, school or nursery about
your result.

Contact 111 if you need medical help. In an emergency dial 999.

NEGATIVE: Your coronavirus test result is NEGATIVE. You did not have the virus when the test was done.
You should self-isolate again if you get symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – get another coronavirus (COVID-19) test from
www.AssuredScreening.com or www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test and self-isolate until you get the results. For advice on when you might
need to self-isolate and what to do, go to http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19 and read ‘Self-isolation and treating symptoms’

UNCLEAR: Your coronavirus test result is UNCLEAR. It’s not possible to say if you had the virus when the test was done.
You should take another test or self-isolate for 10 days from the day after your test date. You maybe contacted to check that you are self-
isolating.

This is a valid result where the test has picked up some low strength signals but not with the required level of certainty to return a positive
result. Unclear results are typically seen in patients at very early onset of infection, can be the result of a poor quality swabbing of an active
infection or in patients who have previously had an infection (it can take many weeks after an infection for a patient to return a negative
result). If you have not recently tested positive for coronavirus, a retest with a fresh sample is advised (additional sample fee applies).

IF your result was FAIL, VOID or RETEST, follow the advice on pages 4 & 5 of this report.

ADVICE – DAY 2 & 8 INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS

THIS ADVICE SECTION IS FOR CUSTOMERS BEING TESTED AS PART OF THE DAY 2 & 8
INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS ONLY. SEE THE NEXT SHEET FOR OTHER TEST REASONS.
POSITIVE: Your coronavirus test result is POSITIVE. You had the virus when the test was done.
Even if you have not had symptoms of coronavirus, you must self-isolate for 10 days from the day after your test date. Your test sample may
be genome sequenced to check whether you have a virus variant of concern or variant under investigation.

If you received a positive test result for the test taken you do not need to take any further tests.

You may be contacted for contact tracing and to check that you, and those who you live or are travelling with, are self-isolating. You must
not travel, including to leave the UK, during self-isolation.

Contact 111 if you need medical help. In an emergency dial 999.

NEGATIVE: Your coronavirus (COVID-19) test result is NEGATIVE. You did not have the virus when the test was done.
You are not required to quarantine or take a day 8 test if you are travelling from a country not on the red list and meet the requirements of
being an ‘eligible’ traveller.

If you are travelling from a country not on the red list and are not an ‘eligible’ traveller, if you took the test on or before day 2 of your
quarantine period, you must continue to quarantine until you have completed the 10 day quarantine period and received a negative result for a
test taken on day 8. If you took the test on day 8, you may stop quarantining when you have completed your 10-day quarantine period.

You should self-isolate again if you get symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – get another coronavirus (COVID-19) test from
www.AssuredScreening.com or www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test and self-isolate until you get the results. For advice on when you might

ADVICE – TEST TO RELEASE

THIS ADVICE SHEET IS FOR CUSTOMERS BEING TESTED AS PART OF THE TEST TO
RELEASE SCHEME.
POSITIVE: Your coronavirus test result is POSITIVE. You had the virus when the test was done.
If you have not had symptoms of coronavirus, you must self-isolate for 10 days from the day after your test date. If you have symptoms of
coronavirus, you must self-isolate for 10 days from the day your symptoms started, if earlier than when you took your test. You may be
contacted for contact tracing and to check that you, and those who you live or are travelling with, are self-isolating.

You must not travel, including to leave the UK, during self-isolation. Contact 111 if you need medical help. In an emergency dial 999.

NEGATIVE: Your coronavirus test result is NEGATIVE. You did not have the virus when the test was done.
If you are self-isolating as an international arrival from a non-red country, region or territory, who was subject to a 10-day isolation period on
entry, you may stop self-isolating.

You should self-isolate if you get symptoms of coronavirus (you should get an NHS coronavirus test and self-isolate until you get the results).
For advice on when you might need to self-isolate and what to do, go to www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19 and read ‘Self-
isolation and treating symptoms’.

It is a legal requirement to self-isolate when you arrive in the UK from a non-red list country, territory, or region if you do not meet eligibility
criteria to remove the requirement to isolate. If you are contacted by the enforcement authorities or the police after you have received this
negative result, please show them this notification.

UNCLEAR: Your coronavirus test result is UNCLEAR. It’s not possible to say if you had the virus when the test was done.
You must, by law, continue self-isolating for the remainder of your self-isolation period as a non-eligible international arrival travelling to the
UK from a non-red list country, territory or region. You may be contacted to check that you are self-isolating. If you want to shorten your
self-isolation period you will need to take another test for international arrivals from non-red list countries, territories, or regions. For more
information, go to https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-test-to-release-for-internationaltravel.

OTHER OUTCOMES
FAIL: Your coronavirus test result is FAIL. It’s not possible to say if you had the virus when the test was done.
If you are were self-isolating as an international arrival, you must, by law, continue self-isolating for the remainder of your self-isolation
period as an international arrival travelling to the UK from a non-exempt country, territory or region. You may be contacted to check that you
are self-isolating. If you want to shorten your self-isolation period you will need to take another test for international arrivals.

Our tests look for human genetic material as an indication that a sufficient sample specimen has been collected during the swabbing process
to return a valid result. A FAIL result was returned due to either insufficient human genetic material being detected in the sample OR the
sample contained an unknown inhibitory substance.

The reason for your VOID test will be listed in the comments section on page one.

RETEST: Your coronavirus test has been tested but needs to be reprocessed (free of charge). This is unavoidable and occurs in a very
small number of samples. The retest will be taken from the existing sample. Unfortunately, this will delay the issuing of your final result.
