Module 2 – Task 2

Philippine literature is essential to study because it shows the country


as a living language. It introduces the selected literary works to real-
life events from the youth's experience. This leads to discussions on
environmental awareness, intercultural understanding, and other
topics.

Recognizing literary pieceis one of the ways to increase the value of


those greatest works. By doing so, all papers are no longer expected to
be just a collection of words designed to be read. We can obtain as
many of the benefits as possible, such as a sense of delight, intriguing
knowledge, experience in life, and etc. To enjoy literary works to their
full potential, we must first understand certain basic concepts linked
to the subject, such as literature, literary appreciation, how to
appreciate literary works, and the benefits from works of literature.

Additionally, It educates us on what is going on around us and teaches


us new things. It can sometimes hold a great deal of worth from which
we might learn and interpret events intelligently. The primary goal of
writing is to amuse, please, or pleasure the audience. Some people
read or play literary works primarily for entertainment.
