Tenses continue

Dear students

This week we are still learn about tenses, it will continue last week.

As we know that general tenses divided into 6 types. 

Now, please explain the differences between present continues and past continues?

when we use those tenses?

Seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa general tenses terbagi menjadi 6 jenis.

Sekarang, tolong jelaskan perbedaan antara present continue dan past continue?

Kapan ketika kita menggunakan tenses itu?

Jawab:

Present continues tense

Definisi: Present continuous adalah bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk kegiatan yang sedang
berlangsung sekarang dan juga digunakan untuk rencana yang akan terjadi dimasa depan. 

Rumus: Subject + to be (is, am, are) + verb present participle/verb-ing

Contoh: Now the doctor is examining his patient

Past continues tense

Definisi: Past continuous tense adalah bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan

bahwa suatu aksi sedang berlangsung selama waktu tertentu pada waktu lampau (past).

Rumus: (+) S + be (was/were) + present participle (-ing).

Contoh: I was feeding the patient yesterday

Present continues tense

Definition: Present continuous is a tense that is used for activities that are taking place now
and is also used for plans that will occur in the future.

Formula: (+) Subject + to be (is, am, are) + verb present participle/verb-ing

Example: Now the doctor is examining his patient

Past continuous tense

Definition: Past continuous tense is a tense form used to express that an action was ongoing
for a certain time in the past.

Formula: (+) S + be (was/were) + present participle (-ing).

Example: I was feeding the patient yesterday

previously we talked about present and past continues. now we are going to learn about past
perfect and present perfect.

Please explain when we use present and past perfect tense? please give the examples.

I will explain briefly regarding present continues and past continues.

Present continues used when we do something right now, but past continues used when we do
something right now in the past.

belajar tentang past perfect dan present perfect.

Saya akan menjelaskan secara singkat tentang present continue dan past continue.

Present continues digunakan ketika kita melakukan sesuatu sekarang, tetapi past continues
terus digunakan ketika kita melakukan sesuatu sekarang di masa lalu.

Present perfect tense

Definisi:  Present perfect tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk
menyatakan suatu aksi atau situasi yang telah dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berlanjut
sampai sekarang atau telah selesai pada suatu titik waktu tertentu di masa lalu namun efeknya
masih berlanjut. 

Rumus:

Kalimat verbal

(+) (Subject) I/You/We/They + has/have + verb 3

Contoh:

1. Pasien saya sudah makan (My patient has eaten)

2. Dia telah bekerja di rumah sakit selama enam tahun (She has worked in the hospital for
six years)

Kalimat nominal

(+) S + has / have + been + O

Contoh: Brandon telah sembuh dari sakit (Brandon has been recovered from illness)

Past perfect tense

Definisi: Past perfect tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan
bahwa suatu aksi telah selesai pada suatu titik di masa lalu sebelum aksi lainnya terjadi.

Rumus:

(+) Subject I/You/We/They + had + past participle (V-3)

Contoh:

1. Pasien saya sudah tidur (My patient had slept)

Present perfect tense

Definition: Present perfect tense is a form of verb used to express an action or situation that
has started in the past and is still continuing until now or has been completed at a certain
point in time in the past but the effect is still ongoing.

Formula:

Verbal sentence

(+) (Subject) I/You/We/They + has/have + verb 3

Example:

1. My patient has eaten

2. She has worked in the hospital for six years

Nominal sentence

(+) S + has / have + been + O

Example: Brandon has been recovered from illness

Past perfect tense

Definition: Past perfect tense is a form of verb used to express that an action was completed
at some point in the past before another action occurred.

Formula: (+) Subject I/You/We/They + had + past participle (V-3)

Example: my patient had slept
