QNO 1

The implication of health and safety culture is gigantically associated with the

interaction, influence, hierarchy and norms of a peer group. For base case under

consideration a malice and heedless approach is observed regarding the health and safety

at work place. The employer assertively believes that HSE culture is not pertinent as it is

not associated with the ambitious sale profit. This interprets the extreme materialistic

approach that drastically elevates the negative influence on entire organization.

For instance, the oblivious attitude of the managing director depicts mutinous interest

towards health and safety being detached from norm of operation. In the same manner the

conviction of head of sales is extremely unassertive to deploy health and safety; this has

aggravating negative impact not only on the subordinates but also on the leadership team

and sales supervisor.

As mentioned in base scenario, Managing director due to his unawareness and grueling

association with delegates is coordinated only with head of sales strengthening his

vocational influence on the experienced working apprentice that indirectly promotes his

neglectful concern for safety culture that seeps down from sales supervisor to the

leadership team and common labor. For instance employee were engaged in rash driving

at parking area, alongside using phone merely seeking satisfaction and happiness in

adventure utterly subjugating the health and safety concern opted in workplace. Within

same vicinity sales supervisor is oblivion from safety concern by portraying no need of

safety training and drill due to low fire risk that verily is the obnoxious trickle down peer

influence of HOS. Secondly rushing the job as it is associated with sales margin depicts

influence of chain of command is completing task at a tradeoff with health and safety.
One of the most perpetual imbricating phenomena opted from the peer pressure influence

is the tenacity to perform right obligation in the nuisance of peer lobby. For instance an

individual effort from senior sales person in paradigm of health and safety concern is

observed, but is subjugated by the negative lobby pressure from the subordinates and

officials this undoubtedly illuminates the complex intricacy to fit in an organization

culture. One of the unravel domino effect of negative viscount influence is observed

during the trip incident by the layman which was observed by sales supervisor, instead of

reporting he neglected the wholesome affair. It construes that the health and safety

implication is no more than a formality for the administration. This is predicated as the

influence of hierarchy on the entire organization culture.
