How to use polynomials

everyday
DECEMBER 11, 2021
People use polynomials in their daily lives. People use
polynomials to model various buildings and objects used in
industry and in construction. They are also used in marketing,
finance, and equities.

POLYNOMIALS USED IN ELECTRONICS

Electronic devices use many

polynomials. Definition of resistance V
= IR is a polynomial that associates
the resistance from the resistance with
the current flowing through the
resistance and the potential drop
across the resistance.

POLYNOMIALS USED IN
FINANCIAL PLANNING
Polynomials apply to design or
material planning problems.
Polynomials can be used in any
2D design situation to plan the
amount of material needed.

POLYNOMIALS USED IN CHEMISTRY

Polynomials are common in chemistry. Gas
equations related to diagnostic parameters
can usually be written as polynomials, such as
the ideal gas law. PV = nRT (n is the number
of moles, R is the constant of proportionality).

POLYNOMIALS USED IN PHYSICS

Polynomials are also used in scientific
problems, including the problem of
gravitational acceleration. The polynomial
must contain the initial position of the
object: the distance from the center of the
earth, the initial velocity, and the
acceleration (constant) due to gravity. The
standard permissible acceleration due to
gravity is 32.17 feet per second. This is a
basic formula and many other aspects such
as drag and density of air are considered
by scientists looking for a very specific
solution.
