Dear Sir 

With due respect I want to state that we all are the members of Beant Singh Library. 

Since Due to Covid reasons many UT institutions have been closed down as a precaution for the 3rd wave
of Corona Virus and increasing number of Covid cases
Our library has also been instructed to shut down for a certain period of time. 

This application is regarding a draw that was held by the library staff on 3rd of January. 
Since it is mandatory for the draw winners to deposit the 3-month fee of Rs 2400, 
we wrote an application to you to make an exception and collect the fee on monthly basis this time, as we
had an intuition that a shutdown order might be a possibility in near future.
As informed by the library supervisor to us our application was denied. 
So, we deposited the fee and the expected shut down has happened now.

We understand that social distancing and mass gatherings is the need of the hour right now,
but I also want to draw your attention to a fact that our carrel premises has only 18 seats which are
separated from each other by well distanced cabin walls distanced by at least 8-10 feet from each other.
We all are fully vaccinated and wear masks all the time as a precaution as well. 
More over the carrel area is not connected to the study hall premises in any way.

It’s our humble request to not close down the carrel premises because of its exceptional protected
environment which is in accordance with all the covid protocols.

If due to some non-avoidable reasons this is not the possibility, I would request you to refund the money
we have deposited.
In this pandemic many businesses have been impacted and lots of people have lost their jobs and since we
all are students and we are not earning any money right now as well
kindly at least don’t let the system put financial pressure on us in these difficult times.

I am really hopeful that either of our requests will be accepted by the office decision makers.
