Jason: It has been many years since the Argonauts made our long and perilous journey to

Colchis to retrieve the golden fleece and rightfully claim my throne of Iolcus from King

Pelias. Much has changed since. Orpheus has become a conductor at an orchestra. Hercules

has retired but does modelling and acting part-time. And me, I’ve not been doing so well.

After claiming my throne, life became slow and I took to drink and gambling. After an

unfortunate series of events, I’m in a position where I must retrieve another golden fleece.

This one apparently belonging to the brother of the ram with the first golden fleece. However,

this time due to the pandemic, and the strict social distancing regime enforced by the

government, I am unable to assemble a crew. But even if I were to take on the herculean task

of going to Colchis myself, due to the various travel bans, I’m afraid I won’t be able to make

the journey.

An unfortunate situation, but what choice do I have? I can’t help but think back to our

journey back then. It was challenging, but we had our fun. Oh, how I would like to visit the

women in Lemnos right now. And the smell wouldn’t be so bad this time, my sense of smell

seems to be growing weak. If only I had the seer, Phineas as a friend on Facebook, I could

ask him for suggestions, but alas, his blindness prevents him from reading my messages.
