DESCRIPTION: PORTABLE GAMMA RAY DETCTOR

The portable handheld gamma ray detector is used for

measuring natural gamma ray readings from conventional
cores and sidewall cores.

The Detector comes with its own docking station, ready

for immediate use. Uranium, Thorium and Potassium
isotopes are all readily monitored.

The detector can also be used for the rapid surveillance of

radiation fields around the rig-site and nuclide
identification.

DETECTORS: The IDENTIFIER is available with high-
performance sodium Iodide NaI, ultra-high
resolution cadmium zinc telluride (CZT), high-
efficiency lithium glass neutron detector and an
extended dose Geiger-Mueller tube.
SYSTEM CALIBRATION: Factory certified calibration
DETECTOR STABILIZATION: Automatic system Gain stabilization. Utilizing
system Docking Station with “built-In” or external
Cs-137 source. System continuously performs
stabilization in docking station
PULSE PILE-UP REJECTION: Automatic pulse pile-up rejection for high-count
applications
DOCKING STATION: The docking station has an internal RS-232
communications port for automatic download of
stored dose, survey and sample spectrum to the
DLS system.
AUTO DETECTOR SELECTION: The IDENTIFIER will evaluate the energy spectrum
information and select which detector to use for the
final analysis.

communication port as well as the RS-232
communication port built-in to the docking station.
The data port provides bi-directional input / output
of stored data.
