Dr./Tuan/Puan, JEMPUTAN MENYERTAl PROGRAM STEM PROFESIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR EDUCATORS Dengan hormatnya perkara seperti di atas dirujuk 2. Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa National STEM Association (NSA) bersama-sama Singapore Science Centre Global Pte Ltd akan menganjurkan STEM Profesional Development Programme For Educators. Program ini akan diadakan secara pendekatan hibrid melibatkan perkongsian dan latihan secara synchronous dan asynchronous. Bengkel akan diadakan bermula pada 14 hingga 18 Februari 2022 (Isnin - Jumaat) 3. Sehubungan dengan itu, pihak NSA ingin menjemput guru-guru STEM di Sarawak yang mengajar di sekolah fendah dan sekolah menengah (menengah rendah) yang berminat untuk mengikuti program tersebut. Bersama-sama ini disertakan maklumat berkaitan program seperti di Lampiran. Guru yang berminat boleh mengisi pautan di bawah sebelum atau pada 7 Februari 2022 (Isnin). Penyertaan adalah terhad kepada 20 orang peserta terawal sahaja. Overview of the STEM PD Programme for Malaysia (Selangor, Kelantan, Sabah) * The STEM programme is a teachers’ STEM professional development programme targeting teachers teaching grade 7-12. The programme adopts a hybrid approach of virtual synchronous and asynchronous sharing & trainings. Familiarigation of what is STEM, how STEM curriculum has been implemented and to equip teachers with relevant STEM skills (Virtual synchronous and asynchronous sharing and workshops) for the implementation of country-specific STEM curriculum in their own school. This is to equip the teachers with the relevant STEM skills and knowledge and to guide the teachers through hands-on activities, which finally leads to the crafting of their unique STEM curriculum suitable for their school. 2. Objective of the programme * To develop STEM curriculum and programmes focused on hands-on learning and application of knowledge to solve real-world challenges through STEM in Malaysia (Selangor, Kelantan, Sabah) 3. Materials for the workshops Itis recommended that oach of the participant use a laptop/computer instead of mobile phone/ tablet for the synchronous workshops. This would enable a.better learning experience Followings are the workshops that require materials: ‘© Applied creativity workshop ‘+ *Water-drinking reminder system “Please note that the desired mindset workshop & Fundamentals of micro:bit workshop would be using the same materials as the water drinking reminder system workshop catapult workshop With the exception of applied creativity workshop, which the materials will be sent to the specified locations (coordinated by the states’ leads), for the rest of the workshops mentioned above, there is a need for the participants to buy the required materials for the workshops. The estimated materials cost is about $$40 (~RM120) which would be re-imbursed. A short material list for the workshops (8 free softwares to be downloaded) will be sent at least 2 weeks before the workshops commence.
