 Present Continuous Tense:

1. Tense yang menjelaskan pada tindakan yang

berlangsung sekarang atau ketika pembicaraan
tersebut sedang berlangsung.
2. Present Cont. Tense disebut juga digunakan untuk
menjelaskan kegiatan yang mungkin atau bisa
dilakukan di masa depan.
Penggunaan Present Cont. Tense:

1. Situasi dimana sebuah kejadian tengah berlangsung

sekarang.
Contoh: My mother is preparing dinner in the kitchen
2. Situasi dimana suatu kejadian sudah direncanakan
dengan pasti untuk terjadi di masa depan
Contoh: We will have a test tomorrow
3. Situasi dimana perubahan sedang berlangsung untuk
waktu yang lama.
Contoh: He is getting taller
Rumus Present Cont. Tense:
1. Kalimat Positif
subject + to be (am / is / are) + verb 1 + ing + object
contoh: She is doing her homework now
2. Kalimat Negatif
subject + to be (am / is/ are) + not + verb 1 + ing + object
contoh: She is not doing her homework now
3. Kalimat tanya
to be (am/ is / are) + subject + verb 1 + ing + object
contoh: Is she doing he homework now?
Keterangan waktu (adverb of time) yang sering digunakan
dalam Present Continuous Tense: still, now, right now,
tomorrow, at the moment.
Contoh:
1. Diandra is still waiting for the scholarship
announcement
2. I am eating nasi uduk now
3. The teacher is being angry right now
4. Father will arrive in Purwakarta tomorrow morning
5. There is nothing interesting on TV at the moment

Hi, I am Lisa. I want to tell you about my band mate, Jisoo. Jisoo is my

practice really hard. Jisoo is one of the most hard-working person I know.
