Imagine how much money this company makes from continuing to
charge people who have cancelled their service and go about their
life, assuming that they are not being charged. Nice business model!
They do not bother to respond to requests for cancellation. My
account shows "no active membership" when I log in - but they just
keep charging away! Had to report the issue through PayPal to block
their continued charges.

Absolutely terrible customer service. They renewed my subscription
and I immediately contacted them to address this issue (within
minutes of the email con rming my renewal), as I did not intend to
renew. They were slow to answer and in a couple of instances, their
customer service representatives refused to even answer but instead
just marked the ticket as "completed" without any response. I've
subscribed numerous times in the past but I will never consider doing
any business with this company ever again. I would not trust them
with my money and they have some of the worst customer service I've
ever experienced.
I have read many other posts saying the same now and I will start to
spread the word across all social media outlets: Scribd is a scam.

Updated! Reply from SCRIBD (as can be seen below) "Although some
titles may not immediately be available, there will always be
something available to read!" - So they list titles and books as
available, but when you try to download them they say they are "not
available in your country", thus it is not unlimited and hence it is false
advertising in my opinion. What do you guys think? Please post your

This is outrageous! I thought cancelling my subscription with SCRIBD
was enough not to pay for it anymore. Wrong! On June 10th here there
is... another transaction on my credit card $8,99. And, again, I ask for
a refund but surprise... no customer service! And I apply again and
again, no answer! This is theft! You have no right to take money from
me like that! What do I need to do to be heard? Sue you? I WANT MY
REFUND!

I have been a member of Scribd for close to a decade and love the
service. I'm a voracious reader and can almost always nd the books I
want to read. Scribd's recommendation engine alerts me to other
interesting books related to ones in my saved queue. They have a
large selection of audiobooks, all included in the monthly fee. Their
app works well on all my devices and the web. In addition I like that
you can upload documents and pdf articles for reading on the site. To
my mind, it's a bargain.

You guys are crooks! When i nally get an email back after numerous
complaints. It states you cant nd my info. I cant log on because my
account dose not exist. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT! Now they
take the payment 3 days earlier when it used to be taken out on the
10th. Maybe we need to nd an attorney who will handle a class
action law suit against these bastards. I wonder how much they have
stolen from numerous people over the years.
