1. Discuss each of the basic classroom techniques in your own words with a maximum
of 5 sentences each.

CLASSROOM TECHNIQUES

1. Look at all the students in the class.

- when the teacher is teaching she should switch her gaze evenly from
side to side so that teacher will see her/his student who are listening or
doing some other stuff. Facial expression serves as a nonverbal signal to a
child that you see that they are off task and talking or doing something they
shouldn’t be doing such as chewing gum and trying to distract another
student who is trying to listen to the teacher. The Look silently conveys a
serious warning, and it’s a great tactic for managing without calling a
student out in front of the class. The Look should not be mean or angry; in
fact, it can convey calm and is often free of any expression.

2. Vary you technique for asking questions.

- Questions are a way of compelling the attention of your students. This
technique you can get the attention of your students that don’t listen to your
class or they doing something while you are discussing. You don’t need to
call or address their names so that the class will apart from of what their
doing. You should directly question them. They will thinking that they will
asked in that way you can get their attention.

3. Don’t go around the class.

- don’t go around in class if you are asking questions. Other students may
think that they will not answer those questions. They will just relax and
confident that they will not question again. Teacher should go back to
someone you’ve just questioned, so that everyone realizes that they maybe
asked at any time.

4. Include everyone.
- teacher should make sure that everyone is called equally. Sometimes
teacher are very easy to forget they think that he/she called all the students
especially student at the back. Include everyone so that it will be fair to other
students.

5. Make sure the class is seated in the best possible way.

- teacher should make sure that all students are seated in their proper
place. Also teacher should ensure that the empty seats are only at the
back.Everyone should near at the front as possible so that the teacher will see
them clearly. Teacher will arranged them alphabetical order so that the
teacher can easily recognize the students. So ideally, everyone should be
able to see so that they cal participate in the teacher.

6. Limit teacher talking time.

- the teacher should limit her/his talking time because the more teacher
talks, the less will students be given the opportunity to express their self. So
teacher should give her students time also to talk and express their ideas.
Teacher will balance of the time he/she talks and also for the students.

7. Write clearly.
- teacher should write clearly so that her students will understand of what
she’s writing. If teacher would write a lot in the board try to arrange it orderly
so that they can see it clearly.

8. Encourage your students.

- there is nothing so discouraging as to discover that you can talk no better
in an English so as a teacher you should encourage them. Students look to
teachers for approval and positive reinforcement, and are more likely to be
enthusiastic about learning if they feel their work is recognized and valued.
You should encourage open communication and free thinking with your
students to make them feel important. Be enthusiastic. Praise your students
often. Recognize them for their contributions. If your classroom is a friendly
place where students feel heard and respected, they will be more eager to
learn.

9. Be careful with the use of grammatical terms.

- it’s important that teacher have a good grammar because in teaching,
grammar plays a vital role in how effectively a teacher conveys his lessons.
Knowing the highs and lows of the language could make or break a lesson. In
one instance, a teacher could adjust the level of difficulty of words to be used
if he is familiar with grammar.

10. Encourage your students to practice English outside the classroom.

- teacher should tell the importance of speaking English, like why they
have to learn it and how interesting it is if they do. I would show them the
benefits of being able to learn a new language let alone the universal
language. And inform them to read English books, watch English movies with
English subtitles, download apps where they can talk to other people in
English as well as be an encouragement to their family and friends to share
what they know so they can all have fun speaking the language. So that they
will apply it in the real life situations.

11. Take account different levels within class.

- i believe a classroom is the organization of different kids from different
backgrounds with different levels of comprehension, kids as adults do not
come into the classroom with concrete expectations. They basically come to
learn what they are fed with by their tutors. whatever they are fed with
becomes something they tend to hold onto. But in as much as they are all
different, they all need different approaches in terms of handling. They all
cannot be handled same way because some will have the brain that can
absorb faster than others, the best thing in my view is to do a classroom
organization where based on their level productivity through classroom activity
and works, you can group them based on similarity in terms of level or scale
of understanding in every course or subject because some may be good in
maths but not all that good in English so the organization should be based on
level of comprehension for each course.

12. Deal with individual problems.

- as a teacher to your students and to deal with their individual problems
first and foremost be a good listener and lend an empathetic ear. By providing
a sounding board and letting others "bounce" their thoughts and feelings off
you, a solution may bounce right back to them. Simply giving others a chance
to get their personal feelings out in the open and allowing them the
opportunity to think out loud can lead them to discover effective solutions on
their own. Their problem may be solved with your doing little more than
listening in a concerned and compassionate way.

13. Correct your students systematically.

- as the teacher, an important foundation for the lesson structure and
individual student development. If they’re learned from and responded to,
mistakes are powerfully good, But which prerequisites have to be met so that
mistakes lead to learning success. A student who successfully fixes
something incorrect experiences personal success. They experience directly
how worthwhile their effort is and how their competence improves. Such an
experience of success leads to the student being more persistent and putting
in even more effort in the future when working on reaching a learning goal
because they know that they can achieve it.

14. Use their names correctly.

- For a student, hearing their name pronounced correctly is a reaffirmation
of their identity and a celebration of who they are. The mispronunciation of
their name, on the other hand, has quite the opposite effect. It is the sort of
microaggression that frequently goes overlooked, but that reaches the very
depth of children’s hearts because it is a direct message to their identity.
