I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the discussion, 1oo% of grade 1 pupils are expected to:
a. Identify the addends and the sum of addition;
b. Show cooperation through group activity; and
c. Add the following objects and numbers.

B. Motivation
I will play a video presentation about ‘addition’ and they will sing together.
C. Presentation
I will present a tree which have a fallen leaves on the ground the I will call two students from the
class to identify how many falling leaves are there in the left side as well as in the right side.
D. Discussion
The teacher will now discuss on how to solve addition based on the illustration that the teacher
show earlier.Count the number of leaves fallen on the right side and on the left side of the tree then
after that add the 2 addends then come up the answer.

The teacher will let students answer some addition problem on scratch paper to know if they
fully understand the lesson.
