AC450 Testing (Create and Delete Data Base Online)

1) Open On-line Builder and key in command DDB element-name to delete a Data base element
on-line (P1-Operation Mode). DB element must be known before can delete it from controller.
Check DB element name first using MDB before use the DDB command. In this testing, DB
element AI800_1 will be delete from controller. After Delete the DB element from controller,
use MDB command to confirm it’s already been removed from the controller.

2) Use CRDB element type command to create the DB element on-line (Operation mode- P1). Key
in only element type without number, the number of the DB type will be assigned automatic.
Use M command to modify the New DB parameter, Key in Bus=1, Station=2, and Position=1. DB
Dimension must have spare number before we can create new DB element on-line. For this
testing, AI800_1 had been removed from previous step, so DB Dimension for AI S800 I/O have 1
spare available for create new AI module. After create New DB, use command MDB AI800_1 to
check the New DB element status.

3) If Data Base dimension no have space to create a new DB element, The below step need to
follow:-
Not enough spare area is left and the PC part is dimensioned.
a. Perform a data base dump (DUTDB) and a PC dump (DUTPT). (DUTDB and DUTPT must
be run in Configuration Mode)
b. Cold start the system. Set the start mode selector to CLEAR and press the ENTER button
or use the RECONFIG command (see Section 2.8.3, Resetting the Controller).
c. Load the data base dump (LOTDB) and redimension the data base (see Section 7.4.3,
Loading the Data Base).
d. Load the PC dump (LOTPT) (see Section 7.4.4, Loading PC Programs).

In this testing, only one AI800 I/O is assign during DB Dimensioning. So, it’s no possible to add
another AI810 element. DUTDB and DUTPT need to be carry out to increase the dimensioning.
