our own order and, as result, challenge our common assumption that here is one right way to
organize political life?

Studying politics beyond our own boarders is very important because this is the only way
we can completely understand and comprehend our own political system. Comparing our
knowledge with other states develops our understanding of our own politics and permits us to
grasp a broader range of alternatives. It brightens the virtues and failings of our own political life.
By captivating us beyond our familiar provisions, arrangements. and assumptions, studying
politics beyond our own boarders helps develop our responsiveness of the possibilities, for
better or worse of politics.

Studying politics beyond our own borders help us to improve and test explanations of
how political processes work or when political change happens. We study politics in a few
unique manners: We describe it, we look to clarify it, and some of the time we attempt to predict
it. These are largely parts of the scientific measure, however as we move from depiction to
clarification and expectation, our errand gets logically harder. Every one of these undertakings
may utilize the similar strategy. The main stage in the investigation of politics is description. In
the event that we can't depict a political cycle or occasion, we can't generally would like to
comprehend or clarify it, considerably less anticipate what may occur straightaway or in
comparative circumstances.

Through studying politics beyond our own borders, we are able to describe the politics of
a certain country with the help of conceptual frameworks that we use. After we described the
politics of a particular country, we need to explain it next. But how? We explain political
phenomena by identifying unintentional connection among them, pointing out one phenomenon
as the cause or consequence of another. It is regularly imperative to have the option to go
beyond to clarification of explanation.

In studying politics beyond our own borders, we are often developing theories as we
seek to understand and realize a puzzling circumstance or a thought-provoking difference
between two or more political systems. For example, Tocqueville was intrigued by why in the
United States the people really supported the democratic system while in his country France

was fiercely contested. By that, theories and well supported statements about causal
relationships among general political phenomena are surely formulated.

We, students of politics that studying politics beyond our own borders tend to investigate
and explain different political system within countries. We describe and explain political systems
as a particular type of social system which is involved in the making of authoritative public
decisions. The main elements or fundamentals of a political systems are the institutions and

When we look back to the history, the so-called first comparativist which is Aristotle, he

compared each of constitutions in order to have classifications of government. Through

segments and components for failures and success of political institutions within countries and
afterward apply those parts to different conditions similarly as one would do with a science

Another importance why we should study politics beyond our own borders and compare
it within other states is to understand and realize how states or countries discover patterns,
evolve, and why they change in the method they do.

Comparing politics within other countries can help in placing our own political system in
perspective by highlighting alternatives to our own order through identifying the mistakes, issues
and problem within other countries so that we can avoid these mistakes to our own political
systems. Through comparing politics beyond our own border, we can adopt the methods and
learn from the success and development within other countries in their political systems.

For example, the Communist Party of China led by Chairman Mao Zedong has
successfully controlled the mainland China through besieging cities from mountains and
countryside. In the Philippine context, the Communist Party of the Philippines has adopted the
methods of revolution done by Communist Party of China led by Chairman Mao.

The success of Communist Party of China in 1949, has inspired the Communist Party of
the Philippines. Although the Communist Party of the Philippines has not yet succeeded, we can
see that until now it has not lost because of its strong foundation and its membership continues
to increase with the spread of injustice in the country. With the theory (MLM) that guides the
party, it continues to move forward and the range expands.

By comparing politics, we understand the various political orders within each country that
can be a lesson to our country and an inspiration. It helps to expand our knowledge and
perspective towards a more established political institution.

Studying of politics beyond our own borders and comparing politics through the
comparative method we can draw conclusions that can be useful in our political life.
