1 Content of the Emergency Fix Release
1.1 Release R4.5.03d Corrections
Following fixes have been included in R4.5.03d:

 ALU01889020 MIP behaviour is different between subtending ports

and access ports.
Problem: While testing CFM, the following behaviour was
observed.. MIP was set-up on a NANT-D port and on
a port of NCNC-D (port connected to a subtended
ISAM)
using cross-connect and learning was disabled.
For the connection to the subtended ISAM in cross-
connect (without MAC learning) mode, LTM were not
answered.
When the MAC@ was statically configured the
behaviour was as expected including MIP.
 ALU01959832 "ntr-b-loss" alarm for NSLT-A board reported when
protection-group locked
Problem: After the upgrade of ISAM 7302 from release 4.2.05e
to 4.5.03c, the alarm ntr-b-lossa appeared for NSLT-A
card.
Further tests performed, confirmed that for the
simplex NT ISAM with configuration as below, alarm
ntr-b-loss:
is reported for rel. 4.5.03c, while it was not the case
with 4.2.05e.
 ALU01964863 Display of max-ipv6-antispf Parameter via CLI for
4.5.03c build
Problem: In an ISAM 7302 with NANT-A NT and NALT-C LTs
running build 4.5.03c, the CLI command info
configure bridge port detail output showed, the max-
ipv6-antispf parameter set to the value of 0, instead
of the default value of 65535, upon starting the ISAM
with a default database, creating an ATM PVC on an
NALT-C LT port using encapsulation type of
automatic:ppp, and configuring the PPPoX Relay
settings in the RB VLAN engine and the PPP Client

port on the concerned ATM PVC.
This problem was not however seen on a bridge port
that is defined on top of an ATM PVC using
encapsulation llc-snap, or using a migrated
database from build 4.2.05j, where this parameter is
not defined, to 4.5.03c, where the parameter value is
displayed at its default of 65535.
 ALU01954538 NSLT-A reset due to VLAN memory allocation
problem
Problem: NSLT-A resets were reported on the ISAM running
4.2.05a suspected to be due to VLAN memory
allocation problem.
 ALU01963082 Traffic blocked on NSLT-A when broadcast was
enabled on the VLAN
Problem: In ISAM running 4205.629 build in NANT-A, NSLT-A
configuration, when sending broadcast traffic
downstream on the NSLT-A, the bufpools were
observed to be decreasing. It was observed in some
of the LTs for which the bufpool was very low, no
traffic was passing anymore on the lines which were
admin-up.
 ALU01925113 NANT-E cert: SHUB to IHUB IGMP configuration not
properly done
Problem: The database conversion tool cvtNantA2E (probably
also cvtNantA2D) was suspected to convert an
“SHUB-IGMP-Paramater” (IGMP query Interval)
incorrectly.
 ALU01958356 QoS Strict Priority downstream not working on NELT-B
Problem: During a strict priority QoS validation test on NELT-B, it
was reported that Priority 1 packets were completely
discarded in downstream. In addition, QoS statistics
were not displayed properly.
 ALU01959833 Software download with reduce option failed when
SNMPv2 & v3 was configured.
Problem: Software download failed on enabling reduce
option in SNMPv2 & SNMPv3 configurations.
 ALU01932709 Load children of vdsl2 card via AMS failed

3FE-67721-AADE-FMZZA / Edition 01
Released on 22 April 2014

6/23
Problem: Using AMS to monitor G-010V-P, it was found that
ONT card cannot be developed to read further
parameters under the ONT card section: "Could not
load children". It is due to ISAM cannot correctly
handle large UDP packets (payload length larger
than 16K) for fragmentation; hence SNMP replies are
getting dropped when re-assembling at destination.
 ALU01935197 Database lost after NT switchover
Problem: After doing NT switchover via pulling the active NT,
the standby NT gets activated but PELO reset is
triggered because the shelf type read from SMAS
PROM via SPI bus is different with the one saved in
database.
 ALU01943245 Response timeout when SNMP walk on
otdrConfigMode
Problem: When triggering SNMPwalk on otdrConfigMode (OID
1.3.6.1.4.1.637.61.1.94.1.4.1.1) with 256 PON
configurations, response timeout will happen. CLI
becomes almost unresponsive while CPU is at 100%.
 ALU01951049 Alarm "Loss of protection switching capability" is
reported and cleared automatically
Problem: In some case, the "Loss of protection switching
capability" alarm is reported without any
configuration change and it can be cleared
automatically after some time.
 ALU01952910 xDSL ONT mode not changeable without deleting the
VDSL2 slot
Problem: Once the xdsl-ont line is provisioned, it is impossible to
clear the port (i.e. set the service and spectrum
profile to none) or to change the mode (17a, 30a,
12a etc).
 ALU01955963 Database consistency check failed
Problem: Consistency check failed for R45 database whereas
it was working fine and could be loaded successfully
on ISAM node.
 ALU01955988 Introduction SLID padding mismatch between ONT &
OLT

3FE-67721-AADE-FMZZA / Edition 01
Released on 22 April 2014

7/23
Problem: A previous change in SLID padding (in Hex mode,
padding 0's at the MSB side i.s.o. the LSB side) was
implemented in the OLT only. This difference in
padding method between OLT & ONT results in a SLID
mismatch (in HEX mode) if less than 20 characters are
specified.
 ALU01956406 Duplicate entries are wrongly created in GPON VoIP
service list
Problem: Deleting and recreating a VoIP service causes a
duplicate entry being created in the GPON VoIP
service list. Then one minor alarm will be raised on the
issued ont-voip interface that OLT or ONT didn't
accept configuration request for VoIP service.
 ALU01956572 GPON service is interrupted during NT switchover
Problem: When the first NT switchover after deleting ONT
configuration and reconfiguring again, high packet
loss is detected because OLT wrongly sends MIB reset
to ONU to clean all old data and reconfigured it.
 ALU01956908 NANT-E frame drop on active 10G port 1 after speed
change or SFP insertion on 10 G port 2
Problem: In case of 10 GE SFP insertion or speed change in slot
2, it has an impact on US & DS traffic performed with
10 GE port 1 for NANT-E.
 ALU01957831 Incorrect BAT alarm reported on duplex setup for
ANSI Shelf
Problem: In FX-4 or FX-8 ANSI shelf, when removing battery-A,
battery-B alarm will be wrongly reported. This issue
happens only when system firstly power up, no such
issue after NT switchover or reset.
 ALU01958680 GPON LT may reset when receiving invalid OMCI
message
Problem: GPON LT may reset when it receives the illegal OMCI
messages from ONTs. In order to protect from such
illegal or corrupted packets, the solution is to adopt
new mechanics to validate the received OMCI
packet header before processing it.
 ALU01960218 Coredump file generated when standby NT is
inserted

3FE-67721-AADE-FMZZA / Edition 01
Released on 22 April 2014

8/23
Problem: When standby NT is inserted at the moment the
active NT is starting up, a core dump file is generated
in the standby NT and error record
'Asam::getInstance - No Asam yet!' is received.
 ALU01962329 Memory leak in IfanMgr
Problem: Memory leak issue can happen in ISAM with
Intelligent Fan unit (B-FAN).
 ALU01963737 FANT-F dropped frames on active 10G port when the
not used link/sfp in the same LAG is reinserted
Problem: In case of 10 GE not used link or SFP reinsertion, it has
an impact on US & DS traffic performed with another
10 GE port for FANT-F.
 ALU01964491 Traffic drop when performing NT switchover
Problem: In case the bandwidth profile of one upstream
queue is changed and then NT switchover is
triggered, traffic drop can be detected because OLT
wrongly sends MIB reset to ONU in order to clean all
old data and reconfigured it.
 ALU01966542 Timezone-offset is wrong in RTRV-ALM output
Problem: When retrieving alarm via 'RTRV-ALM' command and
timezone-offset is configured, time zone value in the
time stamp will be wrong.
 ALU01942021 ISAM-V transmit RTP with improper codec when VBD
codec negotiate
Problem: Interop issue with specific MGC type that resulted in
issues with specific Modem/Fax calls. Issue has been
resolved by changing the codec used in ISAM only
when the Modify command received from the MGC
has an updated codec type in the remote descriptor.
 ALU01951209 Data call failed after MGC command ISAM-V
switching to voice mode from VBD
Problem: Data call failed after ISAM-V switching VBD to voice
according MGC'S command.

party service meanwhile to withdraw call-hold
service will cause 488 error.
 ALU01951804 The status of the port stays "ringing" when receiving
the MWI
Problem: The status of the port stays "ringing" when receiving
the MWI Problem: Interop issue with specific MGC
type, after lock and unlock of the MGI (Interface
between ISAM-V and the MGC) the ISAM-V ports
ended up in a wrong state (Ringing)
 ALU01952672 Call dropped although 2nd re-invite received before
session timer expired
Problem: Call dropped although 2nd re-invite received before
session timer expired
 ALU01952690 Backup consistency check on database failure with
exit code 2
Problem: Backup consistency check on database failed with
exit code 2.
 ALU01952713 Support call waiting and call toggle service even
when call hold service withdrawn
Problem: Support call waiting and call toggle service even
when call hold service withdrawn.
 ALU01953903 Unnecessary SIP register message observed after
service recovering
Problem: Unnecessary de-register and register is observed after
SIP service recovering
 ALU01960864 Wrong sending CW clip when the line is configured in
DTMF mode
Problem: ISAM-V was wrongly sending CW CLIP with FSK
method when a line is configured in DTMF mode. For
a line configured in DTMF mode, CW clip shall not be
sent in either FSK method or DTMF method.
 ALU01961473 INVITE during network outage not properly handled
Problem: The current handle for invite during network outage
will cause whole ports down and unable make call
before re-register timer expired.

3FE-67721-AADE-FMZZA / Edition 01
Released on 22 April 2014

10/23
 ALU01967997 Some ports failed to register after migration because

reply on the INVITE
Problem: All outgoing calls blocked if one port receive 403
reply on the INVITE
 ALU01958321 User gets Busy Tone upon Off-hook
Problem: Specific interop scenario, upon no answer when
calling a PSTN number, Voicemail service is activated.
In this specific scenario the ISAM-V resources where
not cleaned-up properly, which resulted in busy tone
to be received for next call attempts on that port

Note Boards with software preinstalled in EPROMs are released as

Functional PBAs (FPBA). An FPBA groups a certain HW
release with a certain software release. The FPBA is only
meaningful for the non-downloadable software. It is the
operator's responsibility to download the correct
operational software version.
Note The version of the PBMT SW mentioned above, is the latest
version available at the moment of the ISAM DR4. However
it is highly recommended to perform the migration with the
latest version of the PBMT. The latest version of the PBMT SW
can be downloaded from the server ‘www.alcatel-
lucent.com‘.
Note FOSS (Free and Open Source SW) is part of the ISAM
product. A license note containing a list of all used FOSS
and all relevant licenses is part of the SW-package.
