VEN-ELECTRIC Specials are electrical materials of liberal design in order to conform with preestablished trade customs and special conditions or projects which require such products. VEN-ELECTRICAL Specials, despite their low price, are of rigid construc: tion, easy to install and of attractive appearance NEC NEMAINFORMACIONES UTILES PARA LA LECTURA DE ESTE CATALOGO 1).- CAJA: Usamos el nombre de Caja, cuan- do la tapa del encaje se separa del mismo al abrir. 2). GABINETE: Se llama Gabinete al encaje ‘cuando su tape se abre por medio de bisagras. 3). NUMERO CATALOGO: Este se compone de dos letras y seis 0 mas numeros. La pri- mera letra indica el material usado (P= Hie- 110; A= Aluminio, etc.|. La segunda letra indi- cael tipo de Caja o Gabinete (A = Caja de Paso, C= Gabinete Nema 2, etc.). Los dos primeros numeros pegados a las letras y separados de Jos demas numeros por un guién, indican la profundidad en centimetros. Los siguientes humeros, cuatro o mas indican primero el an cho y después el alto, también en centime- tros. En los Modelos Standard el alto es la dimensién mas larga. Cuando al final de! nu- mero se afiade la letra “2” esto significa ter- minacidn especial (ver N°6). En ciertos casos no usamos el numero de catélogo sino una letra espacial, por ejemplo en las lineas “L* y"M" 4).- BISAGRAS: Las Bisagras estan siempre en la parte llamada Alto, que es en los tama- fos standard la dimension més grande; pero se puede por pedido especial cambiar (p.e. PC12-2530) como standard puede variar @ PC12-3025 0 sea con la bisagra colocada en la dimension de 25 cms., en lugar de la de 30 oms. En cierto tipo de Cajas usamos bisagras es- peciales, hechas por nosotros, p.e. la bisagra PF es ajustable para garantizar que la empa- cadura esté debidamente apretada; las bisa- gras PH y PP al contrario, dejan la tapa libre, asi que las grapas o resortes puedan apretar- 1a en todos los lados. 5).- EMPACADURAS: Las Empacaduras son de espesor minimo de 3mm. Cuando no son de una sola pieza, se evita que los empates se hagan en las esquinas. Cuando se usa pe- gamento, este es del tipo insoluble al agua, 6). EL PROCESO “2”: ciertos tipos de cajas tienen una terminacion especial, que prote- ge la caja contra éxido, en ambientes muy corrosivos. Esta terminacién consiste en re- vertir la caja con Zine segun el método Schoop, llamado Metalizacion, que consiste en la utilizacion de alambre de Zinc 99,9% puro, que se atomiza y se deposita sobre la caja que previamente ha sido limpiada con chorros de granalla de acero. La superficie que resulta de la metalizacion tiene la tendencia de ensuciarse facilmente debido al aspecto corrugoso de la misma, Para evitar este problema recubrimos la caja metalizada con pintura, ya que contrariamen- te al galvanizado en caliente o electrolitico, nuestro galvanizado es excelente base para pintura. Ademés con este galvanizado se evitan las reacciones quimicas presentes en los otros tipos de galvanizados. BOX: We call box the enclosure whose cover is separated from the enclosure, when open. 2).= CABINET: We call Cabinet the enclosure whose cover opens by means of hinges. 3).- CATALOGUE NUMBER: Our Catalogue Numbers are formed by two letters and six or more numbers. The first letter indicates the material used (P= Steel; A = Aluminium), The second letterindicates the type of enclosure (A = Pull Box; J = Junction Box Nema 4X etc.}. The one or two numbers that follow indicate the depth in centimeters; then after a dash come a group of 4 or more numbers that indicate the width and height of the enclosure, also in centimeters. In our standard models, the last dimension height is also the largest. If the letter "2" is added in the end, that means a special finish (see 6) in some cases we use different catalogue number to identify special products, as in small panelboards, watthour meter boxes, etc. (L, M). 4).- HINGES: Hinges are located along the last dimension of cabinet, called Height on request, we can change the location of the hinges {PC12-2530 could be changed to PC12-3025). Certain enclosures are equiped with specially made hinges: PF hinges are graduated in order to excersize the desired pressure on the gaskets in the contrary PH and PP hinges are the loose type, so that they permit clamps on all four sides of cover cabinet. 5).- GASKETS: Gaskets have a minimum. thickness of 3 mm., when gaskets used are not made out of one piece, we avoid to have joints at the corners. When glue is used, we employ only non soluble in water types. 6) “Z" PROCESS: The letter “2” used at ti mes in the end of our catalogue number indicates a special anticorrosive treatment of the enclosure by means of zinc coating applied in accordance with the Shoop Process (Metalizing). This process, which in the case of water tight, etc boxes is far supe. rior to any other type of galvanizing; consists of the following: A 99.9% pure metalic zine wire is flame sprayed on the enclosure, previously cleaned by blasting its surface with steel grit after that the enclosure is painted, at least all external parts.
